I feel that non-denominational churches are the "true" Christian churches...

oy vey... I do not agree at all with the RC church nor Eastern Orthodox. Neither of those churches focus on relationship with Yeshua Ha-mashiach (Jesus Christ) at all. They also do not teach people to read the Word of God for themselves either. I would stay far away from both of them personally. Abba is looking for a people who are sold out to Him and Him only - not to any church denomination, and the RC church is the church which persecuted the apostles. There is much deception there.

Additionally, the last days church will not be held in buildings with a 'schedule' to adhere to. The church of the last days is one which is simply a group of true believers praising God with everything within them and loving HIM with all of their hearts. This is what 'church' consisted of in Jesus' day when the people were all together and of one accord in unity focused on Yahweh.

Bless you SharonL. There is so much more for His people than what the system implemented by men has provided. We have liberty in Him, praise God! From what He's been saying, the church as it stands is going to be somewhat dismantled. Everything is about to change.. including leadership. There will be many leaders exposed and/or removed throughout all church denominations and it may look like things are falling apart for awhile, but we are not to worry, HimSelf is just setting the stage for His end days church.

I have to admit to His Spark Plug's pov here/now;
but it didn't come easily. I spent years looking for an 'ours is the best' model,
and while I am convinced that...even the LCMS prolly has some little piece of the truth of their own, an unbiased history of the church must herald the non-denominational movement a positive stepping~stone to a more unified view.

One can pretty easily argue that the home church movement grew out of this; which might be argued to reflect HSP's pov even more strongly.

Frankly, I am convinced that 'Ours is the One' syndrome is born of accepting the doctrine of OS; it is clearly exclusionary, death-centric.

I consider myself a 'Creation~centered' Christian now, and it's prolly thanks to non-denom church. It is a no~brainer to see the NDC as a reaction to OS.

For myself I like this forum because I have been to various orthodox Christian churches and have seen positives and negatives in all. I don't think there is only one right and true church. My beliefs are based to a great degree on the Bible apart from any specific church's view. I am an Nicene Creed believing Christian but I think it is okay for orthodox Christians to have varying views and still be able to come together.

:yup: It is a definition of 'made by man' when one acquires a written creed, and has councils, etc. to determine doctrine. The Protestant Movement, which arguably 'fractured' the church (into all the sects we are familiar with; with subs on this forum) from many pov's, seen in a new light (as leading to this, your post).

lol. When I was in attendance I attended a non denom.. but a non denom church is still a church yes? Doesn't matter what it's "called". It is not exempt from the judgement of God. I think people are going to be surprised when all denominations begin to be exposed & topple so HIS true body and church can be raised up.

Interesting points. The thing I find about nondenom that can be a hindrance at times is the very general view. In one way I appreciate it and in another it can make it difficult to have legitimate boundaries within a church.

Eastern Orthodox Christian here. Most Eastern Orthodox Christians have a relationship with Christ, Eastern Orthodoxy is Christ-centred, Eastern Orthodoxy is all about Christ. Read the liturgy or the prayers we pray. Christ is the centre of all of them.

I think at times we can have experiences with church that may not coincide with what the 'church' itself represents logistically.

Yeah. I'm just really sick of the damnation of churches because people have been church-hurt. Not everyone in the denomination is like that. Churches are multi-faceted, and many different people and individuals make up churches.

Yes, it can be heart wrenching for sincere Christians within the church... whatever Christian church that may be.
