I have a praise, but I don't really know where it belongs. I work at one of our local high schools, and my office is down by the Special Education Department.

I pass these people every day, as they go about their day helping these special needs students, and today I just had to come and thank our Lord for these wonderful and very special people. I see them and it makes me want to cry at how little I feel I do, when they are doing such an important thing for our Lord. I could never do their job, and I wish I had half the patience and spirit that these teachers have.

I thank God for them, and I also thank God for the health and abilities of my own 3 daughters. I hope that I can be a positive influence on someone as much as these people influence my day. Whenever I see them, it makes me want to be a better person, it makes me think of what I can do for the Lord to go that extra mile so that I can feel worthy of the gifts He has given me. I thank our Lord for all the blessings he has bestowed on my life, and pray that he bestows blessings on the lives of these students, th eir families and their very special teachers.

Thanks for sharing your appreciation for these teachers in special ed. I have two nieces working with children with special needs. Both have master's degrees in this and both are really good and so patient in this calling.

Glory to God for people like my nieces and the wonderful teachers you mention, and you for sharing this. :prayer:

My dear sister,

Don't think that you are doing so little compared to those working with special needs students, your prayers for them are a support and blessing to them, more than you know maybe. Each of us are blessed and gifted in a unique way by the Lord to do a special and unique task. The things that you are called to do by the Lord are just as important to Him as those you see working in the special needs department. Continue to support them in your prayers and ask God to bless them, then you can be comforted that you are doing smoething that will help them.

Your loving brother in Christ,
