It's POD, it doesn't always have to make sense.. Not to mention it's from a band that doesn't really care what they put out, as long as it sells.... Or so they have said. But I've never really heard the song, I'll go a get the lyrics and get back to you on that one :D

I'm sure I could answer this myself but I'm sure there's a better answer to this on the P.O.D. boards somewhere. I'll get back to you when I find an answer.

Also how can you say that P.O.D. just does what sells and their lyrics don't always make sense. Don't make me throw out the heavy artillery to defend P.O.D. again.

Try this on for size from a post on payableondeath.com:

We always said we wanted to do something like that, but it just kinda turned darker than your average 'I love you' type of song," he said. "It's about sticking with the one you love and putting up with that person and being there through thick and thin." ~Sonny (MTV.com - "P.O.D. Go Back to Their Roots, Insist They're Not Preachers")

Regarding the distinct message of “Will You,” Wuv remarks, “We never really did a love song before. It’s directed more towards being on the other end, asking for forgiveness. It touches on the tragic part of a relationship, but it’s something we all go through.” ~Wuv -Mean Street Magazine - "P.O.D."

Like their music, the video for P.O.D.'s "Will You" is filled with illustrations of discord and frustration. The message in each is to persevere in the face of adversity and — not surprisingly — do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
One scene involves a maverick punk-rock chick being ostracized by a popular girl. Later, a guy aggressively attempts to coerce the preppy girl into being intimate with him, after which the punk girl is there to lend comfort. Other stories include an interracial couple who get harassed at a party but turn the other cheek, and a youth who must support his abusive alcoholic mother.

Their music may have moral messages, but does it honor Christ? I've listened to some of their stuff (read the words) and I found more spiritual, Christ-honoring items on a cereal box..... They almost got kicked out of CCM because of the way they were acting, one of the memebers I call to my memory, they coldn't get through the thanks yous without swearing a few times..... besides the fact of who also the tour and sing with....

I'm not saying the music is bad, at times i like to sit down and listen to that kind of music....

P.O.D. is a great band and when i heard they went to Ozzfest I was like "ok... whats going on here?" The I thought about it and after reading responses I think that "P.O.D. Cincy Warrior" is right. They have to go out in that type of an enviroment to speak out and send the message of God to the mainstream. Even if it is Ozzfest.

Does it show the post all squashed up to the side for everyone, or just me? Hmmm... anyhow

I don't think you could really classify that as "Chrstian," It sounds like a cheap version of showing God and a bit of a cop out and lack of faith... But how many people have gotten saved at OzzieFest?

I'm no huge fan of P.O.D., but I don't have anything against them either. When I turn on a secular rock station that promotes amateur strip nights after every couple of songs and has promos taunting Christians, then hear them play "Youth of the Nation" or "Alive," I have to say that they are getting a message out there. What they do with it, I don't know. I haven't heard anyone say that they saw P.O.D. give a testamony at Ozzfest and offer an altar call to anyone wanting to get saved (they mave have done it, I don't know), but I think Christians have to learn to draw the line between business and ministry. Ministry is done without charge, usually at a cost, whereas business is done to make money. I don't see anywhere in the Bible where Christ or his disciples charged money for their ministry, but I do see where Christ got angry when people tried to blur the line between ministry and business.

I also remember hearing where P.O.D. turned its back on the CCM community because it was not being supported there. I'm all for going out into the world and compelling sinners to come to Christ, but it seems the minute you step out that church house door, everyone inside is throwing rocks at your back, so I see where they're coming from there.

As a band, I like their music and even might end up buying one of their CDs. I don't know much about them, though.
