CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Japanese animated television shows and movies. people enjoy them because some* of them contain beautiful art and well-crafted storylines very different from the standard American 'cartoon'.

Some people like it because it's becoming more "trendy" and "cool" to like it.
Others have been fans for decades.
Personally, I'm a fan of all kinds of animation. I just find some of the plots, characters and such involved in anime much more interesting than children's animation. Even most Japanese children's animation (besides maybe Dogtato-kun) is more interesting than the dribble they serve to american children these days. *watches bottle fairy again*
If you don't understand the craze of people flocking around Suncoast drooling over DVD's while holding 3456 boxes of Pocky in their hands... well, I can't help you there. I don't understand them either.

I work there, so I have the inside scoop. You know what's cool? I get three manga books for like 15 bucks.
