I saw a pastor on tv this morning, talking about casting our care, and it was an uplifting reminder that God has told us not to worry. Not asked, not encouraged to try not to, but commanded to really NOT WORRY - to not be anxious for anything!
"I do not worry!"
As you begin to hear the Truth of the word, your faith will grow. As you begin to believe that God has told you NOT to worry, your mind, will, emotions and actions will line up with the truth of the Word and you will find yourself leaning on Him more and more.
"I do not worry - I am not anxious for anything!"
Paul said to call your thoughts ("casting down wrong imaginations"), to stop them right in their tracks if they get out of line. So every time you catch yourself in fear or worry or doubt, say out loud, "It is written: I shall not be anxious for anything."
I do not worry!
Your thoughts will begin to line up with the truth. God does not frustrate us with commands we are not able to fulfill. He loves us and cares for us. He said to cast our care onto Him. Why? Because He cares for us! So if He says to do something, we are certainly capable of doing it.
Fear not.
Be not anxious.
Be of good cheer.
I do not worry!
When I was having panic attacks a few years ago, God spoke to me these words which I have never forgotten: "Selfishness causes anxiety."
Instead of worry and fear and anxiety, we have the love of God: "Perfect love casts out fear."
I do not worry!
I think I may have said "God loves me" about three hundred times, but eventually I believed it, received His love, and am more capable today of loving others as myself, because I have received His love for me.
Have you received the love of God? Did you know that Jesus would have come to this world, lived a perfect life, and died FOR YOU, even if you were the only person on earth?
Make it personal. It is.
He died for you, He cares for you, and His love casts out all fear. All you have to do is receive it.
I do not worry!
Peace, Saints.
With our hearts we believe and with our mouths confession is made and we are saved. By confessing the Word we hear it, and faith comes by hearing.Proverbs 12:25 NIV
An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.
Philippians 4:6 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
