One can hope that the conversion is genuine and not superficial. It's always a danger, but celebrities, like rich men, have greater difficulties in that regard.
In a case like that he would have to change from a man who would change his citizenship and loyalty for the sake of taxes, for money, to a man who would walk cheerfully away from all that wealth. It doesn't seem that easy to me.
