CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As for now I collect icons (modern ones) or iconic cards with images of saints. Yes, seems odd but I still like that and sometimes that really inspires me to read more about or to consider different Christian views on life or lifestyle and try to understand God's paths...

butterfly and moth postage stamps, postcards, coins, foreign currency, rocks and minerals. Focusing on postcards and stamps mostly now, as they take up less room. Plus postcard collecting is much more inexpensive. Stamp collecting can be a very inexpensive hobby, but there are only so many butterfly stamps and I have most of the cheaper ones.

Right now I am collecting Little Golden Books. Specifically the older ones that came out back in the 70s and earlier before they had brand name themes. My oldest one currently is from 1949.

You could set up a museum, so people could see them. It's interesting to look back and see things that were commonplace in computing only a few years ago, but are not used at all now.

Do you collect old coins or ones from different countries or both?
My father had a collection of coins, which he kept on trays in our attic. I don't remember him getting any in my lifetime. My husband collected coins for a short time and had some sort of album for them. Now he likes to buy coins when we are visiting another country, but he doesn't have those in albums.
