I cant move on

Last year I got in with the wrong crowd at school. I started drinking, doing drugs and having sex just to fit in. I've always had a hard time fitting in. I am even getting over an eating disorder.
Last September I was involved in a horrible drunk driving accident. Two of my best friends in the entire world were killed. I was in a coma for three months.
I am trying to get my life back in order...but I cant forget! Also...I cant seem to get my eating disorder under control! It just haunts me day in and day out! I need someone to talk too!

I'm so sorry. That sounds terrible. I know that there are times that I've been in the depths of despair, desperate for help.
Have you seen a counselor or therapist since the accident? It sounds like you need some major intervention.

Thanks you, Marcie, for your thoughts. I have gone to 6 different therapists. I think I finally found one who can help me. He is a good Christian guy! I like him a lot! Thanks for your support!

Stick with your therapist. Do you attend church? If not, can you find a church and good youth group?

When I was a teenager, I was into the sex, drugs and binge eating. God spared me some of the trauma you have experienced, but I was molested at 15 by a man I babysat for.

There is hope for you. There are programs for alcoholism and eating disorders. Ask yor therapist if he might recommend one.

Most of all, trust God for your healing. He will heal you. Immerse yourself in the Psalms and cry out to God as David did. God does hear and understand.

You need to find a new church where there are real Christians there. Unfortunately, alot of churches are country clubs.
You need to do some serious shopping and get into a regular church service and group.

If you need someone to talk to find someone who you can trust. Clergy, councillors, help-phone lines, a journal. If you need to get some stuff out, to move on. Find an outlet.
It's good to hear you've found a good Christian councillor, I hope he's able to help you.

You know, it's so hard being a girl. We deal with these issues more so than guys do. It's crazy how our minds opperate! Does it seem like, no matter what anyone says to you, like with compliments or just encouragement... it seems like nothing helps? That's how I am alot of times. But its more of I tune them out... instead of leading to the useful words. Alot of them don't understand though... when they simply say "don't do it anymore"... it's more than just stopping. It's another world to concur... but you can do it. God will provide for your comfort and all your needs... you just need to learn to give it up for him... this is something i struggle tremendously with... but it's possible!

It's about confidence, if you know you have God's nature in you, you can be truly confident, all things work for your good, you are the head and not the tail, you have love, joy, peace, answers etc . . .

If you don't know these things, you need to eat the word of God, and I mean swallow it, don't just put it in your mouth and chew it.

At the end ofthe day it's what God says & does that counts, not vain people.
