The stealing was bad, but I have done these things as well, in fact I have done much more that this... you are showing that you are repenting by posting here and confessing what you have done... that is a great starting place... remember that to repent is to "turn away" and to promise not to do it again...
God loves you and knows your heart... do you atttend a church, it would do you a great deal of good to speak to and Orthodox Priest....

My prayers are with you dear.
Please read John 8:1-11. Its the story of the woman who was accused of adultry. The religious leaders took her out to Jesus and told him that the law demanded that she be stoned. Jesus looked at the leaders and said "whoever is without sin may cast the first stone". One by one the leaders each dropped their stone and walked away. The woman--who I'm quite sure was shocked, stunned and grateful-- looked up to our Lord. He asked her where her accusers were and who were they. She stated that there was noone still there that accused her. Jesus then states: I don't accuse you either. Now go and sin no more.
What our Lord is saying here is that he will not accuse the repented heart. Jesus loves you so much and he's hurting because you are. Please know that no sin is too big for his grace to cover it.
Now...get on your knees, dear one, ask for His forgiveness for shoplifting. And, sweet one....Go and sin no more.
I will be praying for you that you find peace and joy in He who loves you and died for you. God bless you.

Of course I will be praying for you. My heart cries for you and Jesus loves you so much. He wants to wrap his arms around you and console you. Everything happens according to His plan, so try to trust him and to seek the purpose of your suffering.

What a beautiful story. I want you to know Jesus loves you more then anyone. I just had a baby, and the bible says that God loves you more then a mothers love for their baby. Now, I can not comperhend how much God's love is for me, and you, because I can't think of loving my baby anymore.crossrunner said:

I was in a large crowd near the back. Someone was speaking on a platform. I was talking to someone beside me. Suddenly the speaker stops and asks me if I had anything I wanted to share. It was meant to embarass me. I fumbled along talking about how I loved the Lord and was thankful that He loved me. Suddenly my spririt quickened and I spoke these words...
When life is hard our tendency is to run to the Father and demand, "Help me!" Our need is to come to Him and whisper, "Hold me!"

Give the item you stole back. If you can't give it back, offer to pay for it, even if it means you can only pay it back a little at a time.
I'm guessing that if you go back and tell the truth, they will be willing to work with you.
I'm praying for you and I hope that you will do the right thing.
