I was working a sharathon for the Christian radio station I listen to. They put this song on the air while they were having a time to call in pledges and those of us answering the phones could hear it. As I listened around, I noticed that no one in the room was talking. The phones weren't even ringing. I could hear everyone in the room was very quietly singing along. It was beautiful. Then someone commented, "No one's calling in because of this song. They're all listening to it." You know what? They were right because as soon as the song was over, the phones started ringing again. It was awesome because you could just feel the presence of the Lord in the room with us.

i just recently, last year about oct, had a freind some one i worked for pass away, and this song helped me and my wife deal with the fact of the death and with the fact that Barbara is in a much better caring place than we provided for her on earth.

The first few times I heard "I Can Only Imagine" it made me a wreck and it still does once in awhile. Mostly it makes me get happy. The song that I have to pull over for is "Thank You" by Ray Boltz. "Concert of the Age" - Phillips, Craig and Dean- does that to me too sometimes. I guess I just like songs about heaven.

I've only heard the song a few times, and at the risk of being unpopular here, I'm going to have to say I don't care much for it. It's is a pretty song. But I don't think it's very worshipful. It wasn't until they sang the name Jesus that I realized that this was a worship song. I thought it was a love ballad the guy was singing to his wife or girlfriend. I don't believe that songs that ambiguous are pleasing to God.

woah, interesting Opinion. While i do Agree With You: That The Song isnt That Great- it is For Completely unrelated Reasons. im Not Quite Sure That a Song HAS to say The CHRIST name a Billion Times to be Deem'ed as "Christian"... nor do i Believe That Every Christian Song OUGHT to be Nice And Happy. such a Result, in our Daily Lifes is Impossible. we Are Called to be Faithful, Not Perfect. we Are Called to be "real" to God, Not Phony.

The Main Reason i Dont Enjoy The Song: is it HONESTLY Seems Like a Waste of Time.... pondering What it Will be Like. my Walk With Christ is to Serve Others, Not to Serve Myself. i am Not a Follower of Christ to Score a Free Ticket to Heaven (although thats definatly a plus!) i'm a Follower of Christ, Because i Feel it is Our Job on Earth to do Our BEST to try to Make our Current Life here... as Close to Heaven as Possible.

i Might Sound a Bit Picky Here: but The Song would've been MUCH More Effective to me: if it Was about Making Heaven on Earth, instead of Tapping Our feet and Waiting around.

just my Two Cents. peace Everyone

Just wrote to say that I love ths song.
It's really a blessing.

I mostly love the part where he says "I can only imagine, when all I would do, is 4ever, 4ever worship You". And coz I don't know how it's gonna be up there, I can only imagine....lol. I am a worshipper and just as I love worshipping God down here on earth,I know it's gonna be a blast worshipping Him in heaven, coz this time, I'm gonna be down at His feet literally and I will worship in His very presence.

Be blessed ya'll

I owe (at least in part), my rededication to the Lord to this song.
I was at a point where I had lost complete focus on God, and needless to say, my world was crumbling. I heard this song, on a secular station no less, and the impact of it was breathtaking. It reminded me of how in love I once was with the Lord. Ya know how people say "I love ya, I'm just not "in" love with you anymore"? Well that's how I think of it. Suddenly all I had ever felt came rushing back to me and my walk has never been as strong as it is now. I get goosebumps as soon as I hear those opening notes.
I'm going this Sunday to see Mercy Me in concert, and I'm way beyond excited. I think it will be awesome to be surrounded by a stadium full of people all serving and worshiping Him!!!
