I just had to respond to this;

It's very bittersweet for me. Last October we found out that a very godly friend of ours was diagnosed with level 4 cancer, and it was eating his body alive. 2 boys under the age of 6, and a little girl not even born yet. I still to this day ask God, "why"?

The day we found out, our family was going to go to a Louis Palau Revival, and Mercy Me was going to play. I made the comment to my husband, "you know, I don't really have the heart to go, but I know that's when we need it the most". When Mercy Me played this song, there were 40,000 voices singing along with it, and mine when I could get through the lyrics because I was a bawling wreck.

At church last week our Orchestra and full choir sang it with a soloist, and I was a weeping mess once again. ;)

I know Kraig is having a blast in Heaven, and he's released from all pain, and that song sums up exactly what he probably thought. It's a beautiful song and I love it - but every time I hear it hurts as well.

**sorry for rambling**

I heard that it was written after the lead singer's father died. It grabbed me, shook me like a terrier would and dropped me in my tears. My father died last summer and I think of him whenever I hear or sing this song!

I'm another emotional wreck when I hear this song. It's gorgeous, and I love it, but I can't listen to it, but I'll leave it at that and not go into my long drawn out story on this one! :D

I saw Mercy Me in concert earlier this year and they way they introduced the song was by a video that they had recorded of people answering 1 question. They never announced what the question was ("What do you think heaven will be like?"), only gave answers. I was sobbing before the music ever began.

How true are those words..."I Can Only Imagine"...because really and truly, I have no idea what heaven is going to be like. I just know that it is going to far exceed any expectations I could ever have!!!!

I love this song.....I can't get it out of my head....As I sit here I keep playing it over and over again thinking to myself....What would it be like, Walking by Jesus's side? What would I see, hear, feel? Would I walk up to him and hug him, run to him calling out to him, or just stand in awe of his presence? I can't answer any of those questions and I don't need an answer because I will be in his presence and that is all that matters. This song makes me appreciate the things around me, the beautiful trees as they change colors and the leaves drop, the rain that comes out of the sky, the cold air that I breathe, and the lungs and eyes that God has blessed me with to see and feel his beauty.......

I can only imagine,
What it would be like,
When I walk by your side,
I can only imagine what my eyes would see,
When your face is before me,
I can only imagine,
Surrounded by your glory,
What will my heart feel,
Will I dance for you Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still,
Will I stand in your presence,
To my knees will I fall,
Will I sing hallelujah,
Will I be able to speak at all,
I can only Imagine,
I can only Imagine.....

I can't become an emotional wreck that easily, but it touches me. oh, man, it's so sad and I have to sit down. A lot of people I know have gotten sick and died, so I think that their pain is over, they're sleeping, and when Jesus comes we'll be doing this together.
