I cut last night and threw 6 days away.... I feel like such a failure, I don't even know why I try any more... it is hopeless for me...

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You are not a failure. 6 days is an accomplishment! Be thankful for living those 6 days. It certainly is not hopeless for you. As you've shown on several occasions, you are capable of going a whole day, and that's great. That's really all you need to think about is taking it one day at a time.

That is an achievemnet.
Like a baby learning to walk, you had a slip.
Now make a goal of getting to 6 again.
And like a baby, you may not the first time, but eventually you'll make 6 again, and then 7 and then 8 and so on.
It helps to have support, if you've not got someone from church, family, professional helping you, perhaps make that another goal, to find someone who can be with you on this.
And don't forget, we are here with you, praying for you and the Lord is with you too! He promises to always be with us!!

Thanks guys, today is day 2 
. I don't knwo how long that is going to last tho, not with my parents being like this
I got into a BIG fight with them a few nights ago... It started out really small... and turned into them telling me how awful of a person I am... everyone says that your parents, next to yourself, know you the best... so thye muct be right... I am just an awful person... ugh I am so low and depressed right now...

6 days is amazing! your not a faluire you are wonderful. I know how you feel though i went for about 2 months and just cut recently i was down almost did other bad things but i didnt im goin for it again and no matter how long i go i will still be makiing a effort towards getting better. you are great person and dont ever forget that. i would love to talk to you more bout all this. hang in there!
