  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Oh man, Paul. I am just so proud of you not only for this post but for the growth and steps that you have made. You are wonderful and I appreciate you doing this so publicly because I think it is really a good example to set.

I know we’ve already smoothed things over in PM, but I still wanted to post here and say that we all forgive you and Lord knows we could not hold a grudge as we have all had our moments here over the years. To do so would be the antithesis of Christian love and I think this is just a beautiful example of the love and unity that Christ demands of us. :)

Sorry if I was ever a jerk to you as well Paulie, and even if I wasn't being a jerk than I apologize for not being a good friend or as close as I could have been (and this goes for many others here too), I've been dealing with much of my own things as well, spiritual dissatisfaction being the main cause for me. And you're of course forgiven on my end, although I can't think of much besides a few arguments or debates we had a long while back.

Happy to see you taking steps, self-improvement is a great thing, never look at the sunset, but always the sunrise, for each day brings us new opportunities and reflections to change. Good for you

@Paulie079

I just saw this post today as I am feeling so much better than what I did when I made that thread (Marriage, a history). I was infected with a virus that made me unable to speak.

I read through your post and I can certainly understand the why of the past actions. We all have our struggles, and I remember mine. There's a lot we are blind to for a time until God reveals what is in our heart that needs to be weeded out.

I'm still learning to balance everything that is said in the Bible. It's a very difficult thing as it feels like being a toddler all over again learning to walk in His ways rather than our own or what the world has taught us.

With that said, water under the bridge. Heck, have a cup of cold water. :oldthumbsup:
