Hey,

I am sort of afraid. I keep having these really bad dreams that various people are raping me and forcing me to have sex. they are really real and really scary. i wake up crying. The scariest part is i have had 2 that were my parents raping me. They are very vivid and intense.

One was with my dad and i was standing by this gate outside my old house and was 6. He raped me. I can remember the clothes and his clothes and everything. The smells, the sounds, the weather.

The other was my mom and we were in a train and she raped me. I was the same age and it was dark and i was screaming but no one helped me. This was very vivid too. I woke up crying.

I never told my parents about these, because i am embarrassed.

Do you think it is possible i have been raped and am remembering details through dreams? I have gotten very depressed in the last year and 2 months. Recently i started cuttting to deal with things. My life is hard right now, and i cant get this thought out of my head. Can anyone offer me any words of advice or just talk to me about this? i dont know what to think. I dont want to believe i was raped, but keep having more and more of these dreams. I just want to see what others have to say on this.

If they are just nightmares, ignore them, because you are stronger than that. Take control and not let fear conquer you, life is what your make of it, so make it good, make a difference. Do not be chain to fear, but your let light shine in darkness. I hope i encourage you.

crazylittlep sweetheart is there a church counselor you can make an appoinment with? i think it would be really good if you had someone in person to pray with and talk to you.

I second the advice to seek counseling. Nightmares may or may not be accurate in fact, but they can be symptoms of other problems.
Please be careful and keep yourself safe. I know it is difficult not to cut (this is one of my current struggles), but just be careful, okay?
As a minor, if you have difficulty finding counseling, there are options available. I recommend against a school counselor (unless you know and trust them), and if you talk to a pastor or church counselor, it may be best to find one that your parents do not know.

Hi there,

Let me ask you a question, the only time you ever have these types of dreams is when your are a sleep, or( like flashbacks while you are awake?).

Try this, before you go to sleep pray this prayer. Dear Lord Jesus, protect my mind and my dreams as I sleep this night in Jesus Name, Amen!

Do this for several nights in a row, and see if they stop.

thats a positive thing i suppose that you arent afraid of anything else. i know its hard for you and it probably makes you not want to go to sleep because thats what happens to me. does it affect the rest of you day? because i get the flashbacks aswell as the nightmares.

yeah i think most teens have arguments with their parents. most of the are only minor ones and like you say are over with them the next day. i don't think that would cause the nightmares. have you thought anymore about seeking help?
