  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Agreed. Same here. I am curious how much the renovation costed. The asking price is $500K apparently.

Not all of these posts are pun worthy. But tickle me pink, that house is gorgeous for Barbie addicts.

Haha, not today. Just kinda disappointed in modern entertainment, such as what happened in France.

I've seen worse. I remember when avocado was the popular kitchen color, along with bright colors like orange and when everything had to be a different bright color (including each part of the table and chairs).

FWIW, I still miss coppertone.

LoL, that color combination of avocado and bright orange might make me want to put on a pair of really dark sunglasses!!! And, I miss copper tone, too.

Haha, you can still get coppertone paint from Benjamin Moore.

I liked earth tones. One of our houses growing up had those kinds of colors. And lots of wood paneling. Very much underrated.

Not the same. Coppertone appliances had a dark brown or black edge that the copper center gradually faded into. We originally had metal white kitchen cabinets that my father painted coppertone, but like the Benjamin Moore paint it was a single hue.

60s and 70s. You can see a sample in the kitchen of The Brady Bunch, with that bright orange countertop and splashboard and avocado everywhere. The Brady Bunch first aired in 1969, which would put the kitchen style in the late 1960s. Remember the each part of the furniture a different color from the 1960s.

Appliances were coppertone as well? I like my appliances white or gray, but sadly, mine are stainless steel. Hey, if you have any local cabinet builders, you can ask them to make you some coppertone themed cabinets. Support local businesses.

Just saw some online. This stuff is real.

The ovens to the far right is very close to what I remember. See the dark band around the door on the bottom? What I recall, from GE, was a wider band, on both the stoves and refrigerators.
