Theres been a lot of dissatisfied talk about the networks portrayal of Christians and blasphemous handling of Godly things, I've engaged in it and include myself. Thus, three things I would like to get some thoughts on.
First - They are lost in sin and thats how they are suppossed to function when lost. The expectation of them to be reverant and righteous is foolish and without basis. So, why complain about the wrong doings of wrong doers?
Second - obviously these shows are not intended for Christian audiences. They either cater to the depraved sinner or introduce the latest in sinful living and wrong doing to open, idle minds. But there may be a silver lining in this: at least they are hearig the Word of God, although it may be tainted. The Word has to get to them some how. That leads to my third point....
Third - Who among us is going to step out, since we claim to have God and all His power, provision and protection with us, and write, direct and produce movies or tv shows that are reverant and accurate?

We, myself included, have to stop whining to each other about how the unsaved are acting and living like the unsaved. If we really want God to be glorified and them to be saved we have to make use of the talents and abilities God has given us. Lets meld ideas and pool resources and do something about it.

If you want to complain about and take pot shots at me, you are welcome to but dont post them in this thread. Start a new one. I respectfully request that any postings are relevant and address the things mentioned.

Thank you.

It is truly sad. However, there is hope! The American Family Association helped to take "The Book of Daniel" off the air and they have also just recently helped to get NBC to pull an offensive segment from their show "Will & Grace". In an upcoming show, they were scheduled to include a reference to a fictional cooking show called "Cruci-fixins". Thankfully, they removed this segment from the upcoming episode! The message from me is: Don't despair, there is still hope!
