  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have a three year old husky and he will not stop running away. We have a big fenced back yard. As soon as you let him outside he is over the fence and gone. We have to walk him on a leash in the back yard. Was wondering if anybody has had a husky and if so did you have the same problems. I know they are very active dogs but after three years his running away is strarting to get tiresome. Thanks for the help

Huskies are notorious escape artists...it's just a part of their breed, though I'm not sure why. You may want to look into formal obedience training, a higher fence or just commit to leash walking. I'm sorry I don't have more specific suggestions, just know you're not alone- you're facing a problem many Husky owners face.

i dont have a husky, but i have the exact same problem with my chow/lab dog. He's been escaping for the past 3 years from our fenced in back yard as well. We've refenced it, and he still got out. so now my parents make me keep him tied to a rope, but i feel bad because our other 3 dogs arent tied up because they dont get out.
