Husband Cheating

Ive had two different dreams about my DH cheating on me. The first one was a few weeks ago and the second was a few nights ago...

In the first dream, I was at home waiting for my DH to come home and he was hours late from when he said he would be home. By then I was pretty mad and calling him up and asking him where he was. He told me he would be home when he was home and hung up on me. He came home soon after that with some strange lady. At first I didnt notice her because I was too mad at him. I started ranting and raving about how he was late and just going on and on nagging him. He just looked away and rolled his eyes and then went over to the lady and held her hand and then kissed her right in front of me. Then he said " I dont need this." and left with her.

In the second dream I was out running arrends in my car when I spotted my DH talking on a pay phone. I saw that he had his cell phone in his hand so I thought that as weird. I called him to see what he was doing and he didnt answer his cell phone. I kept driving and then saw him again at another pay phone. I parked my car so I could see him and call him again. He looked at his phone, laughed and then put his phone away. This told me he was intentionally ignoring me and I got mad. I got out, went over to him and asked him why he didnt answer my calls. He said because he didnt want to talk to me. Then I asked him why he was talking on a pay phone when he already has a cell phone. He told me "Because I dont want you to find out who Ive been calling". This was obviously because he was calling some other women and didnt want me checking up on his call history.

Soooooo, I have no idea why Ive been dreaming of my DH being unfaithful. In reality I have zero suspicion that he would. He is extremely loving and faithful to me and I know he would never cheat so why the dreams?

Bizarrely, I had a dream my wife was cheating on me... which she would never do.

I just ignore it, maybe has some deeper meaning or whatever, if so it will rise up, if not... meh.

I have had the same dream a couple of months ago ( and the woman was beautiful ) but I try to always ask if it is a dream from the Lord, myself, or the enemy.

I should add: I actually had the night before I replied this. It was vivid and disturbing.

I think we all have this sort of thing from time to time... probably for some reason, and who knows who our spouses represent in that, spiritually... the mind processes and works with a lot of symbols everyday, though, we don't have to understand everything to do our jobs.

I believe your dreams are a picture of Christ and the church. The church is "cheating" on the Lord with another woman - the world; the flesh; etc. And, our Lord is angry because the Bible says that He is a jealous God. He wants to have an exclusive relationship with his bride, and yet his bride is cheating on him with the pleasures that the world has to offer, including inside the church and outside the church. A personal phone would have to do with our communications with the Lord. The church is using a "pay phone," which means that they are relying on outside resources, i.e. the teachings of men - marketing techniques, etc. in place of, in many cases, the Word of God (our personal phone, i.e. communication).

I believe the Lord often gives us these types of dreams that are so personal to us so that we can feel what he feels when his bride cheats on him with other women and goes from pay phone to pay phone instead of using their personal communications with the Lord himself. The church of today is definitely in an adulterous situation with the Lord, and the Lord is angry. He wants you to know how that makes him feel, I believe, so that you know how he feels when you "cheat" on him or so you can tell others that is how the Lord feels when we "cheat" on him with other women. He wants us to know that is how he sees it and he feels it.

I would also ask the Lord to show you if this is at all related to your marriage situation. Sometimes, even though he is giving an illustration from marriage to teach a spiritual truth (just like in the Bible), he is still teaching on marriage, too. Pornography is a type of cheating. There are other ways men can cheat on their wives besides actually having a literal affair with another woman. Though I believe this is primarily a spiritual illustration, I, if I were you, would take this to the Lord in prayer, asking the Lord to give you any indications if there is any reality to this in your actual marriage relationship. I have often had dreams of my husband cheating on me when he was involved in pornography. It was the Lord's way of letting me know that there was a situation that I needed to confront my husband about.

I thought of the church and Jesus as well. I would keep praying and seeking what the Lord has to say.

My dream now came true. It was about a friend of mine. His wife... "gf"... with whom he had a child... and with whom she is pregnant... did "cheat" on him... like I saw in my dream.

So, I had the proper advice to give him.

Exactly what he was thinking.

God hates divorce.

It was his choice, and he has been making bad choices... led astray by the world.

Dreams tend to reflect our subconcious desires and fears.

Your husband may be the most loving person in the world, whom you have no reason to mistrust in the slightest... but if, for whatever reason, you feel you don't deserve him, or are in any other way insecure, it may manifest in dreams like this.

Everything is from God.

Stop me if you have heard this one before.

Tough one for me cause twice in my life during relationships I've been given direct information about someone cheating on me. One was when I was dating a girl (years ago) we were having a rough time of it ... when I met her at her apartment, I clearly saw an image of her and a man in what appeared to be a hotel room engaged in sex. A name also was given, "Jack". When I asked her who Jack was she actually fell down on the ground shaking.

That was the end of that relationship. The other one I don't want to talk about but it was also accurate. Listen to the advise you hear and pray. Sometimes people you least expect will indeed do terrible things. That is reality. Sometimes God will reveal things to us. That is reality. There are several other possibilities. All dreams are not from God or the devil. However, it is the devil that accuses the brethren but, God reveals truth.

Pray and as always follow Jesus advice "Let not your heart be troubled..." Regardless, God, not our spouse, job, circumstance, government is our source.

Imagine if you hadn't had the dream -- you might have helped him get riled up against his wife. Not implying you would, but that the dream can help redirect your stance.

This can also apply to current events -- how a country or administration might feel if a representative has gone out to negotiate with other countries, and comes back with unusual allies. Not the same job they went out to do.

In the second dream, you were out and about too, when you saw it.

Yes, exactly. I am not sure what my response would have been. In this dream even though my wife was cheating on me, I saw in the dream - reminded - that while God allows for divorce even in the case of adultery... that I loved her too much and would forgive her even for that.

My wife knows me, though...

Knowing the facts makes all the difference in the world. :)

Thanks again for your comments.
