Here we go. Now the looters are shooting each other over merchandise, and pulling people out of cars at gun point. Where are they going to go, as all roads are closed? The Guard is being called in to handle the problem. This is going to be the most unprecidented event that we have ever seen in this nation. I believe that it already is. They need to get all of those people out of this destroyed city as soon as possible!!!

Yes, it is very tragic. Even in the most "civilized" of nations will act barbaric when civil restraints are lifted. I still remember some of the mob scenes after the Rodney King trial. Pretty crazy stuff.

It will be interesting to see what good God brings out of this.

New Orleans "finished"? Not by a long shot. Everything that has been destroyed will be rebuilt. Cities were rebuilt when Hurricane Andrews hit 13 years ago, and it will happen now with Katrina.

New Orleans as a city may not be totally "fininshed" but it will never be what it once was. I believe there will always be a city there but it isn't going to be anywhere close to the city it once was. Also, I believe to compare the destruction of Homestead FL with what has happend in New Orleans is like compareing apples to oranges. The difference is compareing a town of 30,000 people with that of a city of over 1,000,000.

It looks like the infrastructure has taken a big hit and I for one am not willing to give my money, either in donations or in taxes, to rebuild a city that is destroyed and the very good potential for the same thing to happen all over again. If they want to move the city, fine, I would support that. I haven't the slightest idea how they would do that or if it could be done but to rebuild it where it is would be totally foolish.

I maybe over reacting a bit but from what I'm hearing on the news right now as I write this is that things down there are getting worse, not better, and we don't even know about all of the damage that has been done yet. For instance, the oil refineries appear to have taken a big hit and no one can say when these oil refineries will be up and running again. They don't know the extent of the damage yet but they do know that considerable damage has been done just going by fly overs.

If New Orleans is not finished forever it certainly is out of commision for a long time. I don't think any of us can argue with that, the question is....for how long?

Well, the mayor of New Orleans has now said that the evacuated residents won't be able to return for at least 3-4 months. The levees are still flooding water into the city. The French Quarter should stink literally instead of morally. People are being bussed from the Superdome to Houston. People are living on the elevated freeways. Biloxi's casinos have been destroyed.

I am so sorry for the people who are suffering mightily. I'm donating to the Salvation Army to relieve that suffering. But anyone who doesn't see God's hand in this is just blind.

There are a lot of "Ray Charles" type people walking on the earth these days...# 1 - DEAD (Spiritually) & # 2 - BLIND. I feel just as sorry for the ones who are in this shape, as I do the ones who are in the Gulf. To be detached from hearing the Spirit of God, to me is a death in itself.
To show the mentality and greed of the "Gulfs economy", I sat here stupified last night listening to the CEO of Harraha's Entertainment...the owners of those casinos. He said that they were going to rebuild those casinos as soon as possible, even if they had to put in temporary casinos until permanant ones could be built. I thought, you blood sucking idiot!!! These people have no homes, no lives, no money to put into your gaming facilities. They were destroyed once for a very good reason, and you want to put them back. Sure, they were right on the water where this hurricane came in, but I believe that they are a part of the wickedness that has permeated that area...occult, voodoo...GAMBLING.
The Red Cross said this morning, that this is the worst disaster that they have ever participated in. That says a lot...even in my flesh!!!

It is not time for His WRATH frater. The judgments and wrath are two different things. God is judging sinful man..YES, but His glory will be revealed yet, as there are still people who will be brought to salvation through this. Call this an "attention getter" from on High. Are you implying here that you are a prophet? This nation as a whole is in trouble unless we repent. This I have no doubt of. This nation is proud and stubborn for sure, and is being judged, but it is not time for the WRATH yet. New Orleans may not rebuild, only God knows that for sure, but He will gleen those from it that will turn to Him with willing hearts. He has people who are His, that are residents of that city. They will return, and I believe that revival will hit that whole area that will be heard and talked about from one end of this earth to the other.

You maybe right about the "appointed time" but I believe it's our appointed time now, for God's people to step up and let their lights shine! Whether this was a judgement or wrath from God I don't know, I do believe that God is in control of everything thing and if God's people will lift up their hearts to Him He will listen and do as we ask. God will act, God will answer our prayers.

Now, when it comes to this "every kind of scum in the world" I'm tending to agree with you. Lets all step back for a moment and try and contemplate what God is saying to His people. What does God want us to do in this situation? People are hurting bad. There are people who have lost everything they have, they have lost loved ones, homes, jobs, and well, just everything. The only thing that will help them now is God and I believe it's God's people that He is going to use for this help.

This time was appointed for God's people to show the power and love of God!!!

Now, lets all get down on our knees and cry out to God. We are His vehical, yes He can and will do the miraculous but we have to ask Him to do so, we have to give him the ok to act.

If we do this I do believe a great move of God will happen. Also, when God's people start to move, when they act, God will show up and I believe because of this desaster thousands of people will be saved, thousands of people will come to Christ. I believe that! I believe the witchcraft, voodoo, and all that stuff that has had a stronghold down there is over with now. The city just didn't take a big hit but all that evil did too. God's people just need to believe and do something about this!
