Honestly, I'm not sure why some Christians are so threatened by an old earth. God has no time constraints like we do. If God is eternal , why not millions year old earth? I don't get it.
It's ok if the earth is really old. It does not change anything about our Creator.

I've posed this question before, but no one has answered it. Why would Jesus speak about young earth, his genealogy be tied to Adam, speak about Noah and the flood as if it was real, etc, if Genesis did not happen, including creation? Why was there no hint of evolution in the creation story? Why can't science be wrong about evolution? I don't believe old or young earth belief is necessary for salvation, but if we can question a fundamental belief like creation, what else is untrue?

It's also okay if the earth is really young. Why would you be threatened by evolutionists being wrong? Many of them do not always agree and there are plenty of creationist scientists who have come up with their own theories.

First, this has nothing to do with evolution. This is an error. It is specific organisms created in succession yet spread over a longer period of time rather than a short one. It has the exact same conclusion.

"Theories constantly change" is utter twaddle.
Lots of things can be "wrong".
Except the Bible?
As soon as someone shows a dating technique is "wrong" it will be fixed or discontinued.

If a bone is a mammalian tibia then it is. Etc.

If you can't find any real issues to complain about maybe you should try harder, or,
even harder to do, re examine your predetermined notions.

Because radiometric dating techniques vary greatly and they overlap. And match. And radiometric methods aren't the only ones we use to date things. And other methods overlap. And match.

So either all the scientific methods we use are all wrong by exactly the same amount and countless experiments by tens of thousands of scientists are all wrong, or...a couple of claims by creation websites, which have only been presented to match a narrow religious view of scripture, are right.

And note that science doesn't prove the bible to be wrong. It just contradicts a literal interpretation of some chapters.
