Evolution was Gods technique for creation as e know it. Apes evolved from a different line than humans.
Believe in a literal Genesis all you like, but only scientific evidence belongs in a science class. Literal Genesis is perfectly valid as a faith based position, therefore it's valid in a faith based class. Until there is scientific evidence of a literal Genesis interpretation, it doesn't belong in a science class.I agree, however there are the Atheists that don't believe in a God to begin with, and you tell them they have no dog in the fight then, and you get the argument they don't want it taught to the kids in school. But they do want evolution taught, something they will claim is fact, when it is far from it.
Then there are the Christians that state they simply have a different understanding of Genesis than us.
Introduce the argument, the Genesis account is pretty cut and dried, then you will likely get the "that part of the bible cannot be taken literally" defense, happens all to often. Not certain how they determine what can and cannot be taken literally, but me? I can usually, if not always tell if scripture is literal or not.
So, depending on how many are debate weary...get ready.

huh?Scientists discovered in 2016 what God told us more than 3k years ago in Genesis chapter One. Only God could have correctly told us the scientific Truth more than 3k years ago. It's empirical (testable) evidence of God.
Gen 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly,

Are you ready to put this scientific Truth in Science classes? Or does it go against your religion?
huh?

I understand completely, there is no accounting for conviction. One of the things that has always puzzled me is that there is so seldom an actual argument. I don't really need to be told I'm not that bright, as a matter of fact you don't have to be in order to see the real fallacies with Darwinism.I'm sorry, I've seen how a few deal with losing an argument here, and for those reasons, except to say, thank you for your blessing to believe Gods word, I am not interested in engaging you.

Brother what do you want from people? I remember being lost, I was pretty much agnostic, this all sounded like riddles to me. When all you have is the natural plane I think the Darwinian worldview is exactly what you should expect. It pagan mythology it doesn't really go back to gods, it invariably goes back to elementals, earth, air, fire and water. I know God has made himself known to everyone who has came into being, which is why they never ask us what God is like. But what do you expect? If all you have ever known is the natural order then of course that will be your worldview."It was created, it just happened ...somehow."
I'm certainly not that bright, but given the two choices, I think the whole non creation concept is laughably ridiculous.
But that's exactly how it comes across. It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't make such a blanket statement as to apply it to theists as well as atheists, just because they don't agree with you about the Bible. That's what it's really always about--the Bible. Not about whether God is author of our existence.Brother what do you want from people? I don't mean that as a rebuke, I've always thought this was to be expected. Maybe that's just me.

And dissatisfaction that answer is what drives scientists to try and find out what really happened.
Even so, it's better than sitting back and being saitisfied with "It was created, it just happened." Or do you think it was the devil gave us curiosity?Yet still batting pretty much zero.
But there are those who buy their nonsense, so I suppose there is some gratification in that.
I start with the belief that God is author of it all, and I still want to know what happened.
There's where we differ. I think God inspired, not "told" and that the stories aren't meant to enlighten us about cosmology and biology. We have to find that out for ourselves.I start with what God told us happened.

Of course, I believe what it says, too. I just don't believe it says the same thing as you do.Oh, I know, I just prefer something a bit more stable, like just believing what the bible says.
I agree. For theology, God's Word is the thing. For mundane facts about how the material world runs, our own understanding will do.There is something in there about leaning to our own understanding, as opposed to the word of God, and honestly, I've seen what a mess that can make of things so, I'm happy where I'm at.
