Thanks to all of you for your prayers, poems, and words of encouragement.

As some of you heard, my mom was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer on June 1st. The last 2 days of my her life were extremely difficult. My sisters and I spent most of the time caring for her and just being with her. It was hard watching my mom's life fading away, but the Lord was with us giving us the strength to make it through. Then, at about 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30, the angels came and took my mom to heaven. It was kind of neat because the music that was being played when she died sounded like a host of angels singing, and it made me think that the angels were probably really singing like that as my mom was entering heaven. Then, soon after my mom died, I went outside and looked all around and noticed the sun shining brightly, the birds were singing merrily, the trees were swaying in the breeze and, all of a sudden a gentle peace swept over me, and I knew that everything was alright and that heaven was rejoicing at my mom's arrival.

Thanks, again, to all of you, and God bless you!

What a beautiful time you had together. I'm glad for you.

Thank you for sharing. :groupray:

Sounds beautiful. Dear sister, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. When the grief hurts may the Lord embrace you in his arms of love. As Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted."

:prayer: Merciful God, I lift up to you Littlered and her family as the mourn the loss of her mom. I give you thanks for her mom's life - for the joy and love she gave to her family. Comfort those who are mourning her loss - her family, her friends and all who knew and loved her. Surround them with people who will support them at this time. May they feel your peace, love and comfort at this time. I pray this prayer through Jesus my Lord, Saviour and Friend. Amen.

I'm sorry that I don't have beautiful words to say.... I am praying now that God will comfort you at this time in your life. The description of going outside and looking around sounds beautiful~ I'm thankful that God gave you such a sense of peace. God bless you! *hugs*

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and suffering is over
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And he came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread
And with Jesus' arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is still work waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

NO TEARS PAST THE GATE

Someone new has entered
our eternal home above.
The heavenly gate has opened wide
to welcome the one you love.
We cannot help the tears that fall-
our hearts need time to grieve
when earthly life has ended
and a loved one has to leave.
Yet even in the saddest time,
we know our Savior lives,
and we can trust completely
in the promise that he gives.
That in a glad reunion with the Lord,
our loved ones wait
to welcome us in joy
with no more tears
beyond the gate!

IN TIME OF SORROW

Jesus is standing beside you,
with Comfort today,
Call upon Him
in your hour of need;
He is always there with you,
and only a Prayer away,
He will Answer you,
and your Spirit...feed.

We are sorry for this
time of Sorrow,
Weep, when you must;
Jesus wept, too,
We Pray for Strength
for each new Tomorrow,
May you find Comfort and Peace
in each day that is new.

God has taken your Loved One into Eternal Rest.

ONE SWEET DAY

I gaze up to the heavens
Wondering if you see
Those of us you left behind
Your beloved family

I close my eyes, I see your face
I see your beautiful smile
Oh mum I would give anything
To talk to you a while

I'd tell how much I miss you
How each day you come to mind
and of your faith and hope and love
You knew one day I'd find

I'd tell how when you left me
My world was torn apart
Until one day when peace and love
Enveloped my heart

It was your Saviour Jesus
He knew how great my loss
He tenderly wiped away my tears
And led me to His cross

All my hurts and anger
Had built up over time
He showed me how to let it go
For His forgiveness to be mine

He showed me how through all the years
Your love - unconditional and strong
Had paved the way for me to find
To Him, I too belong

I know now where I'm heading
And that Jesus is The Way
For you, my dearest mum and I
To meet again - One Sweet Day

I am praying for you in your time of loss. It is always a blessing though, when we know where our family is and that they are at the Throne of The Lord.
