Shouldn't he be suing the manufacturer who placed the ads on Meta--and the advertising agency that creates them--before going after Meta?

Let's face it---this is campaign season, and so much false information is flying around that Meta is probably hard pressed to keep up with them all.

The thing is that Facebook censors, blocking a lot of conservative thought, but Huckabee says the information posted on Facebook is absolutely false.
I do not use Facebook or X (Twitter), so I can not make any comments. However, it is a company's right to block or allow ads. Also, I do feel that if the ads are honest and backed up with reliable claims, then anyone should be allowed to place an ad on Meta. But that's just me, a moderate guy who has never run ads, and has ad-blocker.

That's very much the position of conservatives. What needs to change is that the law should in the future be applied equally to everyone without consideration of political affiliation.

Earlier this year Facebook censored promotional ads for the Reagan movie. It is one thing to keep people uniformed of history, it is another to tell flat out lies about someone. That's what Huckabee claims has happened.

There was a "Reagan" movie?

For reasons I don't remember I did see a full 20-30 second ad featuring Mike Huckabee. I don't remember the product but it seemed kind of sketchy. (It was really him talking.)

Amen to that. I am a moderate here, but yes, the law should apply equally for all sides, regardless of political affiliation. If the Democrats get a free pass, that is unfair. So if the Republicans get a free pass. That would be unfair as well. All companies should have an equal right to advertising, unless the product being advertised causes great harm (such as smoking).
