HTML -- Help Please!

A friend of mine offered me free webspace on his server; and I am trying to make my first web site!

My knowledge is limited, I know basic HTML but would like to make my site a bit more fun and complex than just a centered line of pictures...

Any tips for a beginner to make a "fun" site?

These are my favorite 2 sites. The first one gives code for doing tables, marquee and such.
Second one gives you font color codes

Learn how to use tables for site layout. This is how most professional sites are done.

/me learned HTML using a HTML editor and studying the code
but that probably itsn't the best way to learn HTML

What OS are you using on your computer?

If you put the OS cd in the CD-ROM, go to setting>control panel>add/remove programs.It will search for installed compnents.

Then you can add programs from the Windows CD. Some of the disks have Front Page Express on them, which is like Front Page 2000 LITE.

If that doesn't work Look here for some free apps.
