• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How do you cope when something you thought was going to go your way doesnt...? When the outcome of something seems so horribly injust and you feel like your whole life has been torn to shreads and proven worthless? when youve gone through hell and given up everything in your life for one thing... and even that doesnt go your way.... how do you cope? how do you find the will to go on after having everything torn apart yet again??

Sara, you're not messed up for thinking that God is letting you down - most of us have thought that at one time or another. I will pray for you... keep on keeping on.....

That's right Sara. We have ALL thought that God has let us down at one time or another. Anyone who says they have never felt that way, is lying to themselves and to God. And besides that, all of us are messed up, that's why we need a savior. Also those of us who have been victims of abuse, are easy marks for the enemy to come along and keep accusing us, because we already feel like less than a person. However, I am going to believe that God is greater than anything that has happened to me, good or bad, and that he can make something good out of something that was meant for evil (the abuse). God bless you, sweetie. Hang in there!

That depends a lot on what it is you're referring to. Would you mind my asking?

God doesn't abandon or turn His back. He does, however, sometimes say "No".

I'm still trying to get ahold of people on your end ;)
