How you keep your hands busy

They say idle hands are the devil's tools and from an SI-ers stand point it's kind of true. I have noticed keeping my hands busy when I have the urge to self injure helps alot. I personalyy like chinese mediation balls or a boo that I can keep my hands on it and off something I could abuse.

How do you keep your hands busy?

I do that with my CF character! lol You can tell if I'm bored or nerved up by how much my CF character changes in a few hours.

I suck my thumb! instant comfort! i get slagged off for it, but i know it is better than my alternative
as long as i dont bite it works quite well....usually when i start that though, Im getting good at movin on to something else, drawing, painting gluing etc!

i rearange my room. move all the furniture around and clean and reorganize. every couple of nights i do that. it occupies me for a few hours sometimes.

nights are the worst... especially after a long day.

And knitting seems to be very popular. Perhaps I should take it up. I've always wanted to learn anyway. =p

Alot of good ideas on this board, I tend to keep busy by taking care of my son and playing w/him or type on the PC or play my PS3 or Xbox and keep my mind clear of not wanting to do other stuff.. Times its hard to not think about it but when I do those things, I dont think or do anything, its nice..
