a 'character-reference' not, to be envied nor sought-after

I have received PM's asking for understanding as to why ? this member can be so heartless

too, have noted that member will FOLLOW
around the other forums to hit home again
with the repeated message

I left her alone and lo! she is there again
sniping instead-of putting some personal effort
into obtaining wisdom
she would decry and denounce
the messages of others

oh that I should follow her example

Sorry to hear that you are leaving Dave. I don't always "get" your posts either but I kind of do sometimes and it is your expresson of yourself so why would I want to criticize or change you anyway. They do kind of help me understand YOU and isn't that the point?
We are not children here needing to be nagged into doing what is right. We are all Asking God to do that and he is more than able.

I think that is a key to learning and growing wisely all your days. Don't ever go into a relataionship thinking you will change the person. Accept them for who they are. Only God can do the changing. I have forgotten that lesson from time to time and caused myself untold worry and sadness. I try to remember that God is in my life and concerns Himself with what concerns me. He knows and loves those I care about more than I do. He has proved Himself faithful to do the changing over the years. i just hope I have been as changed and continue to change as He wishes me to be at each stage of the game of life.

I come on here just for fun and a little company. So when I find a post I have to go to college to understand it is no longer fun it's work! So like Jan says you write the way you feel you have to but as for me I find I don't want to answer a post I don't throughly understand, so I guess unless I understand you and won't offend you with my reply I won't answer to many of your post, because I admit you're usually WAY over my head and I just don't get it.But maybe you will consider yourself lucky NOT having me answer your post So keep on being yourself and have fun,

Some of the members here seem to have adopted this thread to share there exploits down through the ages in great detail, and while in and of itself, there is nothing wrong with that, I would like to draw your attention to the OP which simply posed the question:

How would you live your life differently if you could live your youth time again?

Will you please restrict ALL of your posts to answering that question?

If you feel the forum may be gratified by your lists of achievements may I suggest that you open a separate thread so that those that wish to read them can do so, and those that would rather not can carry on with this topic.

The council have failed to come up with a place for me

MORE: they decided two days ago
they wanted more ID
this has been sent to the council
BUT the wrong department has it

The landlord will be here at 11 am in the morning
to take possession Council are talking
HOMELESS TEAM and bed and breakfast
IN MY CONDITION ?
have already been waiting two hours
for Council Tenancy Relations to phone me back
with a view to discussing my legal position
and possibilities....am up the creek without a paddle
Will just have to bar the door
and force them to take me to court
why am I telling you ?

Well actually I am telling all my friends to prepare
to LOSE-CONTACT with me for up to several weeks
whilst I cut services and phone
and pack what I can as time goes by

I do sincerely apologize
for my inability
to make myself adequately understood by yourself ....

educational standards
have also dropped in my own country
and kids are leaving school innumerate
and unable to write short stories
that is, so very sad and unfair to the kids
that must BECOME ADULTS at that level

As i write I have phone call
from the Legal department of the council
"The Landlord must" take me to court

So I rang the estate agent
and said I wouldnt be handing the flat over
for at least a couple of weeks and they (agents)
were just so nice and understanding about it
that they are going to arrange a week by week collection of rent
So! panic over and I wont be disappearing
QUITE as quickly as I'd been led to believe

I have a guardian angel
and sweet Jesus
is fending them all away

and WELL-INTEND to be an angel to someone else

I used-to read a lot of books
probably to blame for
the stuff you are unable to read

Perhaps if we both try a little harder
we can still make it through
when I turn down my vocabulary
and wait to explain any phrases that you
are unfamiliar with

'to wind up some strife
where plainly the member hadn't previously
participated in the thread
and the only comments were to diss me (?)
as I said... i could do without this
as could past members who could-not
tolerate the unfriendliness

my philosophy also!
but when the mud flies IT sticks undeservedly
and so punitively (punishingly)

I am sixty in September
not sweet sixteen with boundless energy and tolerance
I do try so hard (with a single member)
NOT to be intolerant.... alas, it doesnt go-away (?)

I think I'd have spent more time having more enjoyment in life!

So, I would say, always be kind to your OWN life kindlychung, for many will enter it and try to cause dissent.

Another thing I would have done would have been to study C.S. Lewis writings.

At this age mind you, I am enjoying the study of 'The Screwtape Letters'. A brilliant book on just how little demons work to discourage and tempt the Christian!
