If u were demon possesed. I know it is rare but if you are not multiple personality why would going against God make you. Or could that still be OCD.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

From the day you were baptized, you were born again in Jesus Christ and were given the gift of the Holy Spirit that is inside of you, around you, loving you. You cannot be possessed. BUT here is a scary thought : All of us, not only Christians, can be whispered lies into our ears by the enemy, and it is up to us to either believe in these LIES, or just let the thought pass by. The enemy has no power over the people of God, in any way or form. The only thing that we fail to do at times is believe in those lies we are whispered to. Does that mean there's a "demon" in your house? Not likely, but the more you fall for those lies the more "they" know that you can be messed with and make you doubt yourself and God.
Here is something I believe, that when you do an obsession and you are ready to spike, OCD will certainly tell you to believe in that lie in your head, this is OCD. But sometimes, we are so deep inside OCD that the enemy sees this and adds to your obsessions and compulsions. But all these things can easily go away by just accepting them. I used to think I was possessed, but it turned out I wasn't. I used to believe a demon was beside me telling me lies, but that idea was broken when one day I woke up without these ocd thoughts.
Here is a trick: If that voice talks back at you in any way, knowing your thoughts and ideas, then it is OCD. Demons cannot "read minds" or anything like that, they can only whisper lies into your ears. No other power over you. In fact, YOU HAVE POWER OVER THEM. If you really believe there are demons inside your home, go to Youtube.com and put on a Christian song of worship, and start praying to God that they flee from your home in the name of Jesus Christ.
And, don't over think about these things, I just want you to know God loves you very much, and if you don't believe that then go to google and search the many verses of the Bible that say so.
And stop posting threads everytime you feel spiked, I'd be glad to answer your questions if you message me or anybody else here, because, if you don't believe it, most of us here are actually here to help.

I literally feel like I have multiple personality disorder. I have doubts God exists and feelings of spite against him, like what a joke your not there, lack of interest in following him, happy feelings inside when I turn others against him or see atheist or agnostics on Facebook. The other side feels he could be real, is fearful of hell and wants to please him in case he is real and sacrificed his life for me.
