Christianity/Catholicism is full of hypocritical people, standards, and verses. A true religion doesn't radically change according to the times. Now we have gay priests and bishops, pastors and deacons, which is clearly against 'God's will'. That's only one example that sticks out like a sore thumb. Im at the conclusion that it is not God's will, it's man's will to make the earth spin according to his expectations.

My arguement is based on the fact that Christianity does not equal Catholicism but my reply is so fragmented...can anybody help?

Not all people who call themselves Christian are, in fact, Christian. There are some who are in transition from bad to better.
Many evil people use the Church and Christianity to achieve their own ends; some are being used by Satan to try to achieve his ends.
Yes there are hypocrites in Christianity, but aech person's own personal relationship with Jesus is more important than looking at how bad others are; for but for the grace of God that would be me.
Try something like that

Of course, when they run into a conservative Christian who firmly believes in Sola Scriptura, their argument falls apart. I believe the Biblical commands have not changed. I agree that the gay bishop is an abomination and Catholisism has been inconsistent. That's why I'm neither Epsicopal nor Catholic. The Bible is our measuring stick for truth and authenticity, it is the standard that generations have not been able to fully live up to. Christians are not perfect, we are only forgiven. While our behavior may wax and wane at times, the truth has always been solid, and that truth is the Bible. Any deviance from it is error at best and sin at worst. Christianity is a true religion, all right. Liberal "Christianity" is what he's tripping over.

I'm going to be optimistic and assume that what you're saying is meant to be "There are other denominations of Christianity besides Catholicism."

As for what the guy in the quote is going nuts about it sounds more like the liberal side of Anglicanism.

Of course Christianity is full of hypocritical people. What do you expect, after all, it's full of..., well, PEOPLE! If you refuse to associate yourself with any group of folks who fail to live up to what they know is right, then you'll associate with precious few people.

The real issue isn't whether or not Christians are perfect, it's whether or not Christianity is true.

Well when i was non believer i used to say that too. those ones are the easy to evangelize so dont miss the chance! they are truly seeking God and desperately. so explain to them that their observation is mostly correct except that the Bible is not hypocricy. You can not convince any one that the Bible is woncerful book unless you are following it faithfully meaning doing your best to be obedient to His teaching. if you are faithful followers you can explaing to them that the Bible is not the problem and people are. most church goers are being bad witnesses which is dissaponting to Jesus. please speak truthfully instead of covering up the fact that there are plenty of hypocricy is going on. if they become christian they can be a good witnesses for Jeses. if we cover up the fact we are adding to the hypocricy. sincerely mrs wilde
