He has already knows who is going to heaven and who is going to hell but it is largely our responsibility to completely surrender our whole lives to him and love him above all.
If you do that then youre pretty safe in his hands.

But we all make mistakes along the way and if we ask, then God will forgive them. Like I said, Im no expert on the subject. I hope some of these answers might help though. God bless.

Gods no fool, neither is He God all matey. He knows the hearts of men. the only way to get to know Jesus is to accept Him and get in a relationship with Him. If you know the Son you'll know the Father.
Thank you. The problem is that I think I do have enough understanding of Jesus to understand his level of forgiveness and understanding of others plights therfore I do not understand the concept of the supposed judgment of God and the idea of hell.
This is crucial to the whole concept of Christain morality. Does God choose forgiveness or damnation, were is the line drawn?

god bless you

Well, I view Him as a simple God. He simply told us His rules, and then gave us the choice whether or not to follow them. If we follow them, we get the reward of Heaven. If we choose not to, then we are condemned to Hell. And, I hate to be redundant, even if we don't follow His rules to a T, we can still have heaven by asking forgiveness. Im sorry if this is too simple of an answer, but I don't see how it could be any other way. If you have a more directed question on the subject, it would help a great deal. This would seem to be a very simplistic reactionary God - that's not how I would view him, it seems to be how many Christains view him - how can that be?
