Haha i was not expecting that :)
This little interaction between iconoclast and I, is an example of how I value friendly, familiar fellowship as opposed to more formal and serious.
Oh hi , by the way iconoclast.

How valuable is online fellowship?

Is Gods Spirit present while we fellowship online?

.

What is Christian fellowship?

Well if the Holy Spirit rest inside a saved individual, and god is omnipresent then of course he can influence others online. However clearly in person fellowship is always best when it comes to anything. You can get more from god for example at a physical church then an online stream of one

I think online fellowship, if possible, should be in addition to church and not taking the place of. I think that will always be the best scenario.

Now there are people who cannot attend for whatever reason and of course they make the best of things and if they have support in their walk online, that is good.

The only thing I might say is that it is harder to have a friendship online.

I have had more luck with non believers by speaking to them face to face then i have ever on the internet... In regards to online fellowship is ok but i prefer human interaction.

I enjoyed your post and gave it a Like. I'd like to qualify it, however, with what I believe is the other side to the story. The army of God is now beginning to be raised up, and they will need interaction as a body as well, which in reality can ONLY come through internet fellowship. When it comes to individuals who are especially strong in the faith, finding larger numbers of them is much more a rarity than the norm when it comes to individual churches. Thus, for the army of God to begin training one another and edifying one another in advance of the battles that are coming, they are essentially completely reliant upon internet fellowship in order to do so, depending upon it as the sole means of their being able to communicate.

Note: Should the term "army of God" here confuse you, I can put it in different, more straight forward terms.

God Bless,
Hidden

Real life fellowship is much more important.

But if you cannot leave the house or work from home, it can be nice.

Nothing will replace the TONE of someone's voice, body language, or the look in their eye as you speak to them in person however...

Church promotes a denomination which answers to themselves only. However, online they answer to the majority of Churches

This is an excellent point. Granted, when heavily denominationally-oriented individuals usually come together on the internet, the result is more often than not strife, contentiousness and bickering. But this is not God's intention, and in reality a complete breaking of His commandments where the edification of the body in love was concerned.

When done properly, were it to be amongst those who truly have ears to hear one another, us answering to one another in matters of doctrine and coming into the unity of the faith through such means is an incredibly powerful dream... if only a dream at the present time.

Yet I could point you to visions that state it will indeed become a reality, not amongst those given to the spirit of strife, but among those who will truly belong to Him.

Very much has a place in fellowship. Ours is a Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness... I'm about as serious as a heart attack most of the time, as part of my calling. But I love a good laugh, the more the better. I recall RockyTop bouncing into a deeply involved theological debate we were having about exactly how the Spirit intercedes on our behalf, i.e. whether we have control of truly inspired utterance or whether the Spirit does. Right in the middle of it all, RockyTop would occasionally throw in these one-liners that cracked me up so badly it kept breaking my concentration.

I didn't mind. Nothing like a little brevity to lighten the mood : )

in what venue or medium would legitimate believer's fellowship not be valuable?

That pretty much trashes the whole question, doesn't it.

No fair! [Protesting smilie unavailable at the present time]
