Anyways, I wanted to see this movie until I hear about its homosexual features and the porn in the middle. Go see national treasure instead, its PG, and guess what? Its a PG movie that actually doesnt force anything sexual on you (for a change), except for 1 quick peck.

And Kudos on the 6.50 deal; 8.50 here. But when I goto college I hear there is a dollar theater where i'll be wasting my downtime. :)

But Alexander likely was a bisexual. The movie was only trying to be historically accurate. Personally, such content wouldn't bother me much considering that it was supposed to be historically accurate.
Alexander was not Greek, and his life was well after the bisexual period of Greek history, so there is absolutely no historical reason to assume that he was bisexual.

First George Washington, then Abe Lincoln, now Alexander. It seems that every day you hear that some great historical hero "was gay." Give me a break. I think it is just the homosexuals trying to create heroes they can look up to, because with so many homosexuals, sexual orientation is all that seems to matter. This sort of stuff sickens me. Next thing you know they are going to say that Babe Ruth was gay. :(

Don't forget those who try and say that Jesus was gay, and that Jonathan and David were gay. Wishful projected thinking on some very deviant minds.
I work with a man who absolutely insists that David and Jonathan were gay because the Bible says they loved each other more than a man loves a woman. :(

I wasted $7.00 and 3 hours watching Alexander the Great. The whole movie was about Alexander's love triangles and the characters were stuck on dramatic speeches. Kinda reminded me of the play "Julius Ceasar" when Ceasar goes into a long and drawn out death speech, but lasting for 3 hours. They couldn't ever just say something, they had to go into a long and dramatic speech. The battle sceens were done badly and didn't account for much of the movie, which I found odd since Alexander did spend most of his life taking over the world. Also they played too much on the weird and intrusive mother and the lack of a good father figure. You know it was bad when half the theatar is claping when the guy dies. The only reason we didn't walk out is because we saw it as a challenge, if we could survive Alexander we can surive most bad movies. This movie almost tied for my "wost movie of all time."

add: I also had a problem with them equating Alexander as an "fighter for Freedom." He wanted land, conquests, and glory. The last thing on his mind was freedom ;)

CP thanks for the review. I remember before i became a Christian going to see the movie "Eyes wide shut", and thinking, "is that how this moron filmed this?" Anyway I have no interest in the movie based on what I read here and other places.

There was a movie out in the 1980's that portrayed him as bisexual. :(
Ok, you know, I just picked the worst possible scenario for a hero of mine, and as luck would have it, it happened already. Which further proves my point. Those with this homosexual agenda will not stop until everyone is "gay," I sincerely believe that.

I believe that is true. I told a gay coworker that my dad loved to garden and kept orchids, and he told me that showed my dad was secretly gay and was using the orchids as a non-confrontive way of coming out. He said only gay men kept orchids, therefore my dad is gay. :(

Are you guys talking about that movie or play where Jesus was portrayed as homosexual? To me, that is an outrage! But portraying Alexander the Great as bisexual is actually pretty accurate. Most historians agree that he probably was bisexual. Homosexuality was openly accepted in ancient Greek society.

Plato may have been bisexual, but I doubt Aristotle was. Just from everything I've read of Aristotle I highly doubt he was a pederast. He was much, much different than Plato. Alexander was Macedonian, not Greek, I wonder how different their customs were.
