How to waste $6.50

I went to the movies tonight to see an epic action movie and was sorely disappointed. The movie was "Alexander" and unfortunately, I had not read any of the reviews. The movie had little in the way of enjoyable action, had poor cinematography, but the thing that made me walk out of the movie (something I have only done once before) was the strong and constant homosexual overtones. I hope this warning reaches you before you spend your hard earned on this piece of junk.

Where do you live that you can go to a movie in the evening, the week it opens for only $6.50? It costs $9.50 where I live.

Thanks for the heads up! I had heard that it was not great on the radio the other day... I will avoid it now.

And I agree with Liz... Must be nice to have a $6.50 movie theater! We average $9.00 and up around here.

We had too may software designers move out here from California... They brought their inflation with them!

I don't think I have ever been to Ohio... I have family that lives somewhere near Kings Island... I think that is a theme park or something up there.

I costs 14 of our monopoly money here in Toronto to see a movie in the theatres. That explains why I've averaged one trip to the movie theatre every two years.

LOL We have some theaters here that are up to 12 or 13 bucks... I don't go to the movies much at all anymore. Aimee and I went to see Friday Night Lights a couple of months back... That movie was not horrible... But not as good as I thought it would be. It did bring back lots of old high school football memories though!

A friend of mine picked out the movie, I just went along...

Alaxander disgusted me.

Not only were there lots of homosexual overtones, but I didnt know there would be a long sex scene in the middle, I had to look away for several minutes... I really wish they would not put porn in movies... I should have checked this movie out before I went.. I would have left, but I didnt drive my self...

In Shreveport movies cost either $8.50 or $5.50. The $5.50 theater is not that great and the price includes a military discount.

The $6.50 here is a military price too, with the regular price being $9. I don't think anyone would be visiting this theater anytime soon, though, because it is on Guam.

You can see a movie for $6.50 where you live? Man, they're $8.50 around here!

I saw previews for Alexander and thought they were funny. The costumes and makeup are so goofy and the cinematography is so bad that I thought they were trying to be campy, like a bad 1950's epic. I really had no idea it was supposed to be serious film. Every time I look at Colin Ferrel in that silly, bad-fitting wig I start to laugh!

But Alexander likely was a bisexual. The movie was only trying to be historically accurate. Personally, such content wouldn't bother me much considering that it was supposed to be historically accurate.

Your idea of historically accurate is different. It is debated if he was or was not. The issue is the fact that the movie focuses on this abomination to the point that it would disgust most Christians.

Ah I see. Believe me, I am not saying that it wouldn't disgust me. I am just saying that it is meant to be historical and therefore probably wouldn't bother me as much as it would others. I would have to see the movie to know. I apologise if I offended you or anyone else.
