7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Apparently the Our Father sums up all our requests. I mean, we should not pray for matters (?). When we pray for someone's health, persecutions, etc. Is it wrong ?. Is it only necessary to pray our Father instead?

When He talks about the forgiveness of offenses, it means that the prayer of the Lord's Prayer is not answered if we dont forgive or is a simple clarification apart?.

Pd: i use a version with the added "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever." Ignore that.

The necessity of forgiveness to be forgiven is mentioned twice (verses 12 and 14) for effect.

By the way in "13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." The bolded portion is likely a later scribal addition.

Yet weare told in Phillipians 4:4-7. Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Notice that we are told to present our petitions to God.

If you read Pauls letters they start and end with prayers and prayer requests.

Please note it is not just "repetition" that our Lord condemned, but "VAIN repetition."

He was in the synagogue every sabbath (Luke 4:16) and prayed the pre-written prayers that everyone else did, and He even based the Our Father on 2 of them: the Kaddish and the Alenu. It could even be looked at as a very condensed version of the Amidah.

Actually that comes from the previous mentioned prayers.

The point is to pray it with intent of your heart; and not just mouthing words mindlessly which would make the prayer "vain."

forgive others those sins ~ for which they are sorry ```
Eh - I don't think our forgiveness of others is dependent on whether they are sorry or not.

Our Lord prayed for the soldiers nailing Him to the cross: "Father forgive them for they don't know what they are doing." Were they "sorry?"
