What I'm looking for here is basically some good deeds I could do. Like I always try to remind myself to serve God and others but I don't always know what to do. We are told to sort of advertise Christ in the things we do and so make people want to be Christians but I'm not sure what there is. Also I'm quite a shy person so I don't fancy just turning up at my elderly neighbor's house with a chicken pie for example. Any ideas?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

this may take a bit of time to explain but.... what I do is strike up a conversation about how much I hate Richard Dawkins ( and word I do hate him , not because of his views but because he is so mean ) and talk to the person about the origin of the universe. I speak about how everything cannot come of nothing. I speak about how maybe , just maybe , god may of started the bb or somthing. What's the point in that ? I hear you say , well , it can make people think. If they think hard on it they should find god. If not , it doesn't matter. Its fine for you to drop hints , but don't go around ramming Christianity down peoples throats. Would you like it if a Muslim came and tried to covert you to Islam ? You must let people find they're own way to god . The best way to show the love of Christ is to love all people.

Steak and ale, that's the answer. Thanks I know I should try to tell people about Jesus sometimes. And Richard Dawkins is really irratatingly atheist.

Some of my tips:
1.If you can't say anything nice dont say anything and if you are thinking of something good, say it.
2. Its the small things that no one sees that makes up the big things that everyone wants so pray everyday and do the little things God wants you to do.
3. Focus your thoughts on God and Christ
4. Ask Jesus for forgiveness of sin and don't worry because when you sin its not you whos bad its sin whos bad
5. Just be nice to everyone and don't get worked up about things like your coffee being cold or being stuck in traffic.
6. Always be happy
7. Go to church and pray regularly

Your good fruits will appear as long as you stay faithful to Jesus Christ, He will guide you in your walks of life and through His Spirit He will influence your heart and give you opportunities for such deeds.
No one can really tell you directly what to do exactly, you will feel His conviction when the opportunity presents itself. Let your divine light fueled by our Creators love shine through you into this dark world.

Read your Bible, pray regularly and just 'bow' before God humbly. This is probably the most important deed you could do.
Remember--deeds do not save us. Jesus does. I'm not sure who you are as a person or what you're story is, but I hope that you remember that. Doing good works is never enough, because our own righteousness is as rags. It's the blood of Jesus that covers us that saves us.
Again, read your Bible. In it, you will find all you need and the strength to live the life God wants you to live. I know that when Christians slack in doing this, they're spiritual lives are often poor and they lack the boldness in what they're saying/preaching/teaching because they aren't sure if it's correct or if they're saying it correctly. Meditate upon it day and night!
