How To Pray?

Wow.. I had to look that word (condescending) up.. and I'm not.. believe me.
The whole purpose of this thread is show others that there are many ways to Pray as well as How to Pray
You have one way.. I have another.. that in itself is a way of sharing that we all have difference ways of Praying.

Please don't back off.. I have found your input very wise and your knowlege Vast.. so no need for apology.
As for the Born again.. you may be older but I've been Born Again for 36 years myself, I Came to accept the Lord as my Saviour in 1966.

So getting back to the OP.. I would like to share with our members that.. Praying is not a complitated as it seems.
If you're not a Praying Christian right now.. now is a good time to start. Go find a quiet place and start Praying. In the Public.. a simple Prayer to bless the Food is a good start. Don't feel like you have to speak fancy words.. just words that comes from your heart. God will hear you either way.. He wants to hear you.

I want this to continue.

I usually start out my prayers with "Heavenly Father".

How do you (anybody) interpret the command to "Pray without ceasing"? I am just curious to get other views.

Me?.. I look at it to mean Pray Daily.. not to be slack in your Prayer Life. Some feel like they only need to Pray when a crisis
arise in their Lives. While I cannot be judgemental to their Prayer Life.. I think that Pray without ceasing may refer to that.

Well Buggyman, I have counted no less that 7 different posters in this thread and 24 posts prior to this one with over 170 views. You have the support of the Mods and are discussion a very important subject as you and others have pointed out. There is much to be taught on prayer, and if I could do it with the support you have I would.

Therefore get back to the job you started. Seems you have already taken three days off. Don't let the thread die now.

That means a lot it really does..
But let me point out a couple things here.
WE (as in you and I) do have the support of the Staff here. What we are doing is to teach anyone and everyone the Blessings that comes from a prayer Life.
We don't need the staff for that.. but rather The Lord's support.
The Teaching of a Prayer life has nothing to do with the Staff. It has to do with doing Gods will.
The staff knew from the begining what My Mission was and still is.. and that's the Prayer Warrior Project.
So Brother.. forget about the Mods and Staff deal. Their rewards will be giving to them accordanly. Being one is nothing compared to doing God's will, and that's MY primary goal.
So I reach out to you Brother.. and want very much to be your friend. With God on our side.. who can go wrong heh?
Feel free to PM or e-mail me anytime. I would gladly answer any thing you ask.
You are right about time off. It's a long story and I can share it with you in another time.. but for now, I shall be back to three hours a day starting Monday (eastern USA time)

Buggyman, I wrote a long and appropriate reply but I will not post it here. Since you invited me to PM you I would love to discuss a few things with you, but I am not allowed to communicate with you expect through Droobie and that is kind of a drag.

Just be sure that I have nothing at all against you in any way shape or form. I know you have a job to do here and a fine one it is and one you are well capable of doing. You have my complete support and prayers.

Please understand that I am here only because Jesus has placed me here to do a job just as He has you.. I am not here because I am loved, wanted, needed, or comfortable here or to receive accolades.

MY primary goal is the same as yours, to do God's Will, and by His Grace, I will do just that. I have tasted the sweet fruits of success in the last few days and my flesh longs to share it but there is no way to share.

Nevertheless, as I said you have my complete prayer support and I will do all I can to assure that others receive the blessing that will come through your teaching.

OK.. on the next thing about Praying.. and many ways of Praying has been Brought out here.
I have been focusing on Prayer NEEDS... Now lets look at the other side Of Prayer.

It's Called Prayer of PRAISE!

When God answers Prayer.. we become very Happy and Celebrate.
But are we sharing our Joy with God? Through Prayers we can Let God know how Happy we are about anything. Daniel is a good example of that.

Any comments on that? Let me know about YOUR Prayer of Celebrations.

Just be direct and tell God what's on your mind:
1. Tell him who it is that needs his help.
2. Describe the situation that they are going through.
3. Say what things need to be changed or strengthened or left the same, or whatever you think.
4. Thank Him for His attention to the matter and wait quietly for further instructions--He may just want you to be an instrument for Him!

 

[The Simple Plan]

1. I found some of my most powerful prayers have occured when I did not want to pray. When I have not even wanted to talk to God but knew I had to...often this drives me to be the most frank with God and most thankful as well.

2. Our youth group has found strength in standing/sitting in a circle and praying on behalf of the person beside us. We pray with our eyes open looking at the person we are praying for. Deeper than you can imagine


Have found the book "If My People Pray" by Randy Maxwell very deep, also have found strength from "Love on it's Knees" by Dick Eastman very helpful for intercessory prayer.


God is my Strength
