How to get to heaven when you die

1. REALIZE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER AND IN NEED OF A SAVIOR:

Ro 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Ro 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"

This all began with the story of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. God created them perfect, there was no death or sorrow. God told them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They disobeyed God and as a result, sin entered into the world. The pain which this world sees is the result of sin.

2. BECAUSE OF OUR SINS, WE DIE BOTH SPIRITUALLY AND PHYSICALLY, BUT GOD SENT HIS SON TO TAKE OUR PUNISHMENT AND GIVE US A CHANCE NOT TO HAVE TO GO TO HELL.

Ro 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Ro 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Every person who has ever lived is a sinner and is not righteous because we do bad things. A sin is a crime against God, just as if you steal something at the store, it is punishable by going to jail. It's the same thing with sin. Even if we lie one time, the punishment is hell, which is a prison for those who commit crimes against God. No matter how well you live your life from then on, you have already committed a sin which will be punished if you are not pardoned. If you commit a crime, and then live as a good citizen you still will go to jail for the crime you committed. Right? Just as the president can pardon a crime so you won't go to jail, Jesus can pardon your sins so that you do not go to hell, and can go to heaven when you die.

3. WE MUST CONFESS JESUS CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOR WITH OUR MOUTHS AND BELIEVE IN OUR HEARTS THAT HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD, BY DOING THIS WE ARE RECEIVING HIM:

Ro 10:9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: {power: or, the right, or, privilege}

You cannot get to heaven by being a good person, going to church, baptism or any other way other than by turning to Jesus and asking Him to Save you. While these are good things to do, some people believe that they will get to heaven if they do these things, but the bible says that there is only one way to heaven and that is through receiving what Jesus Christ did on the cross for you.

Will you do that today? If you will, you can be 100% sure that you will go to heaven when you die.

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD FOR YOUR SINS? DO YOU ACCEPT WHAT HE DID FOR YOU TO PAY FOR YOUR SINS?

4. If you are willing to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior please pray this from your heart to God,

"Dear LORD JESUS, I believe that YOU died on the Cross and Rose from the dead for my sins. I realize that I cannot get to heaven any other way other than to trust YOU as my SAVIOR. I ask you to forgive me for my sins and take me to heaven when I die. I receive YOU as my Lord and SAVIOR. Thank You for Saving me in JESUS name amen"

If you prayed that prayer from your heart to God, and meant it with all of your heart, you are now a child of God and will go to heaven when you die.

Now that you are on your way to heaven, you should attend a bible believing church and follow in baptism.

I have some questions.

Why would I want to join a religion just because doing so gets me to Heaven? Personally I would prefer a religion that is focused on getting everyone in the world to love one another. Your post does not say that is a goal of Christianity.

If Jesus Christ has already Returned, and set up a new and different religious system, would that mean there is now a different way to get saved?

Christianity is all about love. God loved the world so much that He sent His Son to die for all of us. I know that I wouldn't want to give my Son's life to save someone that I didn't love. Jesus Christ came once, but He has not returned yet. When He does return, then and only then will there be peace in the world. I will come to your forum and discuss it.

That's true! Your walk can be good or bad with God, but there are still tremedous consequences to Christians who don't walk as they should. They will lose eternal rewards that they can't get otherwise. They will have to live with that forever.

If you think that you are too bad to be saved, think again. Paul, who wrote most of the new testiment, was a murderer. He killed Christians by the thousands. He torchered them, he made them renounce their faith unto death. He was not a good man. One day, Jesus spoke to him and called him into the ministry. He saved paul from all of his sins one of the reasons is for people like you to know that, no matter what you have done, if you will put your trust in Jesus Christ to save you from those sins, He will. God loves YOU so much, that if you were the only one to ever choose Him, He still would have came and died for YOU COY.

1Ti 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

It IS our job to know where we are going when we die, or else I would just sit back and relax and not put forth any energy telling people about how to get to heaven.

Mr 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

If you don't have the Son, you do not have life. It is your Job to accept what He did on the cross for you, or else you have to pay for your own sins. This is why people go to hell, because they won't except Christ's payment for their sins. Why not believe God when He tells you something, He is the one that is going to judge us.

If it were from God, yes you should believe it, however, I know that it's not because I know what God's word says. The answer is God's word. Study what the bible says about it and you will have the truth. Any other way is a lie. The things that I have put on here don't come from me, they come from the bible (God's Word)

this is....not my point at all.... the point is people are so tiresome when all they do is preach how rotten we all are (and we are) without so much as giving the LOVE that Jesus preached to us. I'm sick of the unbalanced view that all God cares is about is how bad our sin is. If that is all there is to God, we will not be helped. We will be condemned.

With God comes justice. Yes, I've been a Christian for a few years now, but having denomination differences only seems to make the view "you are condemned, but I am saved".... that is what my family likes to point out constantly. If you become a Christian through and because of arrogance, God help you too. If one brags too much about how "saved" they while passing judgment on others, I say they should be careful, because there is no love in them. Without love, there is a vacancy of God's Spirit.

Why not do it the way Jesus taught..."come" rather than "you are condemned" ... Jesus never said that.

I know I am going, yes. I ask His forgiveness all the time, and continually invite him into my life. I ask for His salvation over and over and over again. Mainly because I know I keep screwing up.
