I would say just get out there and live...do stuff...and pray of course, God will let you know...

but hopefully you will stumble across something you absolutely love and are good at and then God will lead you
I agree, in order to find out what you like to do, you have to get out and do things. Pray and always be listening and looking for guidance from God.

Challenge yourself to do things you would normally would turn down. And I don't mean anything like drinking, going to parties, or drugs of course. I met my girlfriend (and future wife) because once I got to college I decided I'd do just what I stated above. And by "accident" I ended up meeting the most incredible person I've ever met.

You can only learn what you love (and what you don't love) by getting out and experiencing as many things as possible. Sometimes learning what you dislike is more important than learning what you love. :)

Oh and also, don't think you're limited to only doing ONE thing for your entire life. I have found a way to pursue three of my greatest passions with relative ease. I'm an aerobatic pilot, educational assistant, and aviation photographer. Because of my "day" job I can easily take advantage of my other two, without getting burned out from either.

Don't put pressure on yourself. I'm one of those people who hasn't as yet found a specific calling, but I've found a few things to do in the mean time. I take each year as it comes, expecting not to expect anything at all!! God generally throws things in my lap, so each year I've found myself doing something quite different. I imagine some day God will bring me somewhere that I can utilise the different skills/qualifications I've picked up, but until I get a clear sign, I'm not putting pressure on myself to find my calling. When you feel pressure, you find you're unable to think outside the box. I can tell you that when I first decided to take each year as it came, I would not have pictured the person I am now. For some people, one big long-term goal is all it takes. But for those of us who can't find that, it's not the end of the world. You'll find something great :) just keep your mind open, and look for opportunities, as someone else said, not to turn down something you'd normally not consider.

Good luck!!

Think about what you love...it's usually there for a reason! Also look at what you hate, that could be part of it! God puts things in all of us that makes us unique, so seek God first and foremost about your calling! It's something he'll reveal in due time!

I am kinda at phase in my life where I don't know what it is.. ANyone have any suggests on how to find out what it is you love.. ?

Gain some experiences with different things that interest you and see how you like it. Internships are a good option sometimes. Seize new opportunities that present themselves to you. Volunteer for organizations.
Internships taught me to steer clear of corporations, and volunteering at an English as a Second Language center ended up being excellent to me. So's now I'm a gonna try mah hand at teachin' English

Hey Eurasia, I feel the same way, life seems so unclear at times. Waiting is good and all, theoretically, but sometimes the waiting process can be really hard. I also find it hard to determine how much of the figuring out my calling thing is my job, and how much of it is God's. I'll be graduating from the local community college with my liberal arts AA degree this spring, and I have no idea where I'm going after that. It used to really bother me, but lately, I have felt such a peace about it. And yes, I realize some of my problem is just me not taking the time to sort things out and weigh my options. I should be taking a bit more active role.

God has shown me so much about Himself in the last few years. One thing I have begun to realize is that a particular job is not an end in itself. It is simply a means. I have been focusing more on developing my character to be more like Christ, than developing my career. Through this process, I think a Christian's calling is life in general. While life is the journey, it is also the destination is some respects. The only way we get anywhere is one day at a time, and I think that is how God calls us to live. To simply do our best in each day that he gives us. Yes, I believe God gives each of us a specific purpose or resonsiblity while we are on the earth. However, God could call you home tonight. Then what would you say your calling in life was? As Christians, we need to remember that our highest calling in life is to be as much like Jesus, and bring as many people to Him as possible, regardless of our occupation.

Very true. I'd be bored to death if I was limited to only one single calling for my entire life, but luckily for me, God has a funny way of never letting us get too comfortable with life in general. It's always growing and changing, and us with it.

Have fun, live, talk to other people who love their lives and work (avoid the bitter, apathetic ones like the plague) and find out how it happened for them. Think hard about what you can do with your hobbies and passions no matter how insignificant they seem.

Actually, there is much to be learned from the mistakes of others. It was from my interactions with certain bitter individuals that I figured out what I feel called to, or at least part of it.

I was called to get married.

I prayed and the thing I got really heated about in a discussion usually lead to what I was being called to do. I think I'm called to something new everyday, small things... I live with "arms wide open" so to speak, just quiet and patient (less patient than I should be...)

I'm 24 and still don't know. I love music, so it could be to make music, it's difficult to know, I understand how you feel.

As a young adult, I feel the same way too. As christians, we need to know what God wants in our lives. We need to first find our first love, which is Christ, then he will bliss us and direct us toward what is best, thus love is reveal to us through Christ Jesus. Pray about it and get closer to God he will show what true love is.

Sometimes I think that this quest for a calling is often too much. I do not that God calls to do one thing for all of our lives, I think he calls us to do one thing at a time, and we don't even really realize it. I have met men who have done many things in their lives, things which I believe they were called to do. But these were not always in tandem. So don't worry so much about what you are called to do, do what you can.
