Want someone to love you? cuddle you?? Hold onto your every word? Stay with you until death?
You won't find him in a bar, go to your local dog breeder!
This isn't an advertisement, just my experiences.
Those who read my situation, will know that lonliness can be my biggest challenge. Yes, I live wwith my parents, but still I needed someone to channel my nurturing on.
The dog I bought, was a Lhasa Apso. They are an unknown breed, so I thought I'd tell you about them, because they are the perfect dog!
They are tibetan, and grow long coats. At a foot high foot-to-shoulder, they look like mini-english sheepdogs with long coats, or living teddy bears with short coats. Long hairs need grooming up to half hour a day, but doing this in front of the Tv in front of the fire is a great date alternative. Bust out your favourite chick flick!
They have very few medical problems, the only possible hereditary problem being weak knee joints.
Dumpage rate low. Although a small dog, will hold their water overnight.
Loyal & devoted. I can't leavve him in the room without me for 5 minutes! They will be with you 24/7. Right now, my BrandLee (named after actor Brandon Lee), is cuddled into my side softly snoring
Exercise is what they do themselves. They don't like long walks. Instead they'll play chasey with themselves. "Little Bear" (BrandLee) runs around the fouton again& again!
They are meant to be quiet dogs, but BrandLee has discovered reflections of himself and thinks them worth barking at.
Cats are nice too, I have a 4 y o, but my cat among others, is NOT cuddly.
My 5mth lhasa is a devoted little man that has a great sense of humour. (he does things that make me laugh!) They don't each much, and love carrots, apples, and many fruits as well as a healthy canine diet. I wish I could show you a picture of him in his baby nightie (to keep him warm in winter).
Anyhow, I'll stop being a proud mum now, but singles wanting instant devotion, attention, and cheering up without too much disaster, the lhasa could be for you!
And don't feel frightened by the long coats, a clipper at $150 or a pair of scissors will deal with this.
