sometimes a girl just likes the feel of something black and fitted... Meow!
I never saw video games as geeky... Just spending their spare time not socializing lol
There is always room to re-focus my wardrobe. I'm actually working on cleaning out some old clothing soon. If your any kind of fashion wiz, message me.
I genuinely won't bother with some of those interests, but this would make them more tolerable in a guy.Again, maybe I'm assuming too much, but isn't that really what you're trying to avoid here? The unconfident, insecure type of guy who buries himself in hobbies, hides himself in costumes, and appears uneasy in groups of strangers. He'd rather discuss his character in WOW because he finds himself boring and uninteresting. It's not so much his hobbies you dislike, its the way he hides behind them to make up for a lack of any real personality or character.
Or am I way off?
Why does not wanting to date someone because of a lifestyle incompatibility with increasingly divergent interests and aspirations mean that the person is a loser? As for mentioning the type of person I was finding myself more incompatible with as I grow older, I thought it would be valuable to find out the kind of advice I was looking for. I can tell that I should have been more specific (which I do apologize for the poor communication of), but it was not that they are losers, unless the only thing that winning means is dating me, which would be seriously conceited of me. And BTW, if geeks are losers, then so are some of my friends, except I don't have loser friends-I have awesome friends, geek and non-geek.I don't see how one can't see that this thread is offensive to some of the population here.
How would you feel about someone walking into your church with an openly displayed attitude that he or she will only associate with winners and not losers or the poor, etc. Should we stratify the church so the in-crowd can enjoy the most favorable seat in the house? This is supposed to be a christian community, but whether it is or not, it reflects the state of the christian body as a whole. It's only natural that some Christians might be upset about this sort of stuff.
And before anyone gets uppety about dating and the mating game having nothing to do with the topic.. nobody is saying that you can't be selective in how you choose your mate, but what reason does anyone have to introduce public disapproval of any group of Christians for dating purposes beside a selfish reason?
Singling a group of people out and declaring you find them too deficient to date is naturally going to be offensive to anyone that is in that group. Wouldn't be easier, and more positive, to ask for advice on finding the kind of guy you want instead of how to eliminate the undesirables?
People single a lot of people out on the forums for dating purposes. For example, as Christians they say they wont date non-Christians. Or smokers or drinkers, etc., etc. Its not always offensive because the majority feels that way or have such beliefs. However, because the majority of the group on the forums are gamers and/or consider themselves "geeks" then its an offensive subject if someone doesn't agree with it.
Capitan obvious to the rescue.
Who says it's not offensive? I just keep my mouth shut because I'd gladly quit smoking for the right woman and it's a good way to find out who's too judgmental to spend any significant amount of time around.
Culture is something else though, isn't it? We don't exactly applaud someone openly shunning people for nationality right?
Of course its offensive. But when the majority speak then a lot of people don't post about it because they just don't want to deal with it. I know I don't.
Why did you bring up culture? Do you mean the Christian cultures?
