CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Classic U2 album, up there with the Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.
I don't think I've ever got so much meaning from an album in recent times...
Vertigo- a great crowd pleaser...going to a nightclub with God and Satan.
Miracle Drug- when loving only those who love you is not enough anymore.
Sometimes- 'With or Without You' for our fathers/Bono's father.
Love and Peace- where indeed is the love?
City of Blinding Lights- a great night out with Bono's gorgeous wife Ali.
All Because of You- behind every good man there is a greater woman.
A Man and a Woman- a celebration of faithfulness between a couple.
Crumbs from Your Table- the pathetic disregard for our sisters and brothers in the Third World.
One Step Closer- Bono's dad's last moments on Earth.
Original of the Species- a Godfather (Bono) taking his job seriously and wanting Edge's daughter to be brave and live up the her full potential in life.
Yahweh- dying to one's own desires and calling on God to work His miracles through you.

Yes the meaning of this album is stunning and beautifully written. The album title is cool, but I'd name it something more mysterious, more post U2- something like "The Unforgettable Fire".

I waited to get this as a birthday present for myself, and the wait was most definitely worth it. This album is fantastic - I like it much better than All That You Can't Leave Behind. It has the muscle to stand up there next to The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree. My favorite song at the moment is "Love and Peace or Else"
