• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I sometimes happy but most of the time I'm really lonely. I dont know what to do anymore.
There are seasons of isolation and there are seasons of community. Life was never meant to be done alone. If you are not in a season of isolation, when you have more quiet time but are more in the Presence of the Lord, then I suggest you look for community; Church, friends, groups, etc.

I am often in the place where you are and I am married! I'm lonely for my children who mostly live far away. Lonely for the grandkids that I don't get to see often. Sometimes I'm lonely for no reason. Coming back to my church and my God a little over two years ago has helped me so much. I keep busy with church activities and Bible study groups. I crave the company of believers and look forward to the next time that we are together. If our community offered any worthwhile volunteer opportunities, I would be there in an instant. Anyway, I'm rambling. You are in my prayers.

Acts 2.42 local church activities are a wonderful encouragement for the believer, indeed.

As regards loneliness, for some ppl it and smoking may be related sometimes. Then again, for other ppl they are not at all related.

Why are you lonely? Do you suffer from anxiety or is there some other reason for it? I don't know that I have anything that could help but I do know more information would be helpful. You have to realize the majority of people in this world are extroverts and they are going to give you information that involves getting out or going around others which may not apply to you at all.
