I get very angry at work because i have an issue with my zone supervisor... luckily hes not going to be there much longer he is supposed to be on a different zone. I have dealt with him for 2 months now and I don't think I can keep it up... I am get very angry and have to bite my lip 10 times a day AT LEAST! I don't have time to explain what is going on only that I just can't take it and its very hard to deal with. I don't know what to do... I know the head of HR very well as well as the BOSS BOSS. They are good friends. I am not sure how to go about all this. Maybe I should try to control it but I don't feel I can I sorta said something today but it wasn't very bad.

Depends on the circumstances IMO. Maybe it's because of my experience as a Marine, or my time in law enforcement and now as a fire fighter. If my captain tells me to do something I do it. Regardless of what I might personally think, I do what I am told because he is the captain.

Now I am not going to listen to anything he says that is illegal, immoral, or unsafe. I also would not let him abuse me in any way. Past that...he's the captain. He is in charge. Not my place to disrespect his position. If I don't like it, I would change stations, or bust my tail to find a new job.

well without knowing more about WHY you have issues with your supervisor it's hard to say. Sometimes going to HR or over your bosses head can backfire especially if they are leaving soon anyway. I'd say continue to bite your lip, say a little prayer "Lord help me to hold my mug" or whatever it takes. If it's a serious issue, their boss will notice in due time. Just do your job the best you can and that's it. My thing with difficult people is that I always try to figure out WHY they are like that are they insecure? Do they have issues at home? Money problems? BiPolar? Because for ME, if I have a sense of WHY they act the way they do, I can deal with them better, but that's just me. I would also suggest you pray for them too.

Proverbs 19:11, “The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.”

I had an encounter with a work collegue who belittled me (quite badly) in front of another work friend, I listened to what he said and then walked away. We were all under pressure due to our company closing - there's usually a reason behind the anger.

Get alone. Take it out on a non living object. Return refreshed.

I honestly don't know how to 'control anger'. It's an emotion. It needs a proper outlet. So get alone. Yell. Scream. Hit something. Just direct it at something that ain't livin.

There's always a lesson in there somewhere. Years ago it seemed I was always having to deal with difficult people. I FINALLY realized that I wasn't so easy to deal with and God kept putting difficult people in my life to "help" me to change how I was. It really never was about the other people in my life, but what God wanted ME to learn.
