  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well lately ive been feeling like life is worthless and nothing good will come my way. So i think i should become christian and have god in my life, how can i do this? please try to say more then say "ask jesus to come in your heart"
Well, it's never to soon to embrace Jesus. The turbulent teenage years often generate doubts,as far as faith is concerned. I myself have only been a Christian for about three years. That empty feeling you have, is typical of those that have yet to accept Jesus. Time doesn't change this. Becomming a Christian is more than just simply asking Jesus into ones heart. A sincere desire to change one's life must be in the heart of any convert. A true Christian walk does change the whole man or woman. The battle between good and evil, goes on in the hearts of mankind. Honest faith in Jesus Christ, gives one the power to overcome, for the good. As a fifteen year old, your sins may be few. However they still exist. Whatever they are, they are enough to keep you out of heaven, without the covering Jesus provides. No one is without sin, which is defined as transgression of God's law. You are not alone in this. We are all, every one of us,sinners. Repentance, is therefore a requirement of salvation. So, a serious and honest self evaluation, of one's life, is a necessasary first step. This should produce in you, the sincere desire to change. This is why in alter calls,an Honest request for ones sins to be forgiven, comes before, the request for Jesus to enter one's heart. The truly repentant convert, will receive forgiveness. They will be born again, their sins blotted out. They begin a new life, lived for the gospel of Jesus. They hold to the two commandments Jesus gave. They are. Love God with all your heart and all your strength and all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. These are the law's we must obey as Christians. You will find that man's law is often in conflict with God's law. For this reason, one should diligently study the Bible,to be able to discern the difference. You cannot count on any other source. Even from the pulpit, you will be told to do as men say. Read first, the gospel of John. Then read the entire new testament from Matt; through Revelation. Pay close attention to the sermon on the mount. This is where Jesus, gives us his law. If your conversion is true, you will receive understanding from the Holy Spirit,as you read. Then by all means,Get Baptised. These are good times in which to become a Christian. This is a lifelong commitment. Faith in God and not man,is the key to success. Take it a day at a time and you will do well. God bless you.

I just wanted to post some scriptures that may be helpful to you...
Romans 3:23
23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23
23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:3
3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.
John 14:6
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Romans 10:9-11
9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
2 Corinthians 5:15
15And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Revelation 3:20
20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

I hope these are helpful to you

Do i have to go to church? i would love to go to church i just cant make it their because my mom doesnt have a car. Wouldnt reading the bible talking to god and visiting this site be good enough anyway?
My friend, if there is a church you would like to attend, pick up the phone and call them. Tell them you want to visit their chruch, and ask: Is there someone who could pick me up and bring me home?

I didn't have a car for a few years myself, and was able to attend the chruch that I go to now. We have members that are willing to pick people up
