How to become christian?

Well lately ive been feeling like life is worthless and nothing good will come my way. So i think i should become christian and have god in my life,how can i do this? please try to say more then say "ask jesus to come in your heart"

Why do you want to become a Christian?

If you're not already a Christian, then why do you have a Christian icon?

The way to become a Christian is to believe Jesus.

When you Believe what Jesus said and what He did and acknowledge your need for Him and reliance on His atoning act for your eternity with God then you will be a Christian.

To be a Christian is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Therefore, you began to mold your mind and body around the teachings and example that Jesus gave to us in the Bible. You begin to learn to love God and people more fully. You begin to let go of bitterness, anger, fury, shouting, and reviling so that through the power of God you are strengthened to become the full stature of Jesus Christ which leads you into a health relationship with God where your soul has joy and peace in the Spirit. When you become a disciple of Jesus, you join the community of believers in Christ through faith. You begin to change your habits from being shelfish in nature of a servent for building up people into being apart of the kingdom of God as a present reality.

If you want to be a Christian, you have to be willing to make a commitment and be willing to stay with it all your life. You will be asking God to become your Lord and Master and telling Him you are willing to serve Him forever.

God has so many blessings waiting for those who choose to follow Him, but He also reads hearts. So, just saying that you are a Christian is not enough. You have to really want to change your life.

Becoming a Christian is not a guarantee that you will immediately become happy or that all of your problems will be solved. It just means that Jesus will be there to support you through the hard times. He will never forsake you.

As for the how, you need to pray to God and tell Him that you are helpless to stop sinning without Him. Pray for His help, especially if you have problems with faith. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and tell Him that you want to serve Him forever. Then, get your butt to church at every available opportunity. Start making friends with Christians and hanging out with them.

You will be amazed at how quickly your life will change and how much happier you are. Your problems may not all disappear, but you will find that you have the strength to get through them.

Do i have to go to church? i would love to go to church i just cant make it their because my mom doesnt have a car. Wouldnt reading the bible talking to god and visiting this site be good enough anyway?

I believe it would. I am in a situation myself right now where I don't want to go to Church. This site is my church for the time being.

The most important aspect of church is the fellowship with other Christians. You can get that here. However, when you get a chance, you might want to try going to church. It is different in person than on-line.

If you call a church and request a ride, they can usually find somebody who lives close who can take you. That's another option.

When one takes that incredible step of actually going to church (for many it's the very first time) it is is proof that they are serious about following Jesus.

The first thing that the twelve were appointed to do is be with Jesus and each other. To be a disciple of Jesus is to be intimately connected with a group of people who are devoted to becoming like their Teacher because we encourage each other and build each other up into being like the Teacher.

The Bible tells us that we need to repent and to put our faith in Christ's atonement via the cross.

When you pray, ask God about setting up Church for you or ask Him to send the right people into your life to help you know Him better. Don't hold back talking with God. He hears everything if we submit ourselves to Him in humility.
Yes, reading the Bible is very important because it is specially filled with His wisdom and Spirit. Jesus said that His words are spirit and life to those who hear them. They give us the stories of how mankind came to being, how we fell into sin and death, and how through God's Son we have the opportunity to live forever with God as His family.
Try and get a modern translation of the Bible that is easier to read, and remember, too, that you are very special to God, that He loves you with a deep deep love. The angels sing when a person decides to come to Him for salvation.
It is a life commitment, and it isn't really that easy being a Christian. It takes our complete lifetime to learn the things of HIs Spirit and grow up in them, but they are the things that really count in the end and bring great peace to our lives.
I pray the Lord will send you help and a place to grow in His love.

The above advice is good, but remember that Christ doesn't NEED you to do anything for Him. Christ needs you to love yourself and your fellow man. Seek to live a good life He would be proud of and remember that what you do to the least of His children you do to Him.

WHen you have faith that Jesus died for your sins to save you, then you will be called a Christian. a follower of jesus. As a Christian, it is a difficult journey. You will still sin, but you will not live a life of sin. Your joy will come from God. When you accept jesus, and read the Holy Bible, the Holy Spirit will speak through the Word of God to you. The Holy Spirit brings a lot of joy. But He only comes when you accept Jesus. Read the bible to learn about Jesus, GOd, and the Holy Spirit, and learn how to do God's will.
