CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As long as for anyone else. Although some countries discriminate against same-sex couples adopting, those that allow it make no distinction in waiting times. if it's an open adoption, the birth mother either chooses you or does not choose you, just like with any other couple. If social services makes the choice, or you are adopting from an orphanage who makes the choice, the choice is based on what is the best family situation for the child. If you are adopting an infant, be prepared to wait a long time for a healthy infant. Older children, the wait is shorter. My husband and I saw no discrimination in the classes we attended or the literature we read in our province in Canada, but every state/country is different.

In America. The same as everyone else.
Do you want to foster/adopt? Or just adopt an infant? Foster care you could adopt babies/ children or teens. If you adopt private, the parents choose. Don't know where you live, but I would look up adoption agencies or Call CPS.
