The Blue Party in America, had the perfect opportunity to defeat the
current president, IF THEY HAD APPEALED TO THE MODERATE MIDDLE
OF AMERICAN VOTERS. They didn't seem to understand the opportunity.
The standard "spiel" of the blue candidate was, essentially,
"Our party stands for all the oppressed left-handed gay black women
who were raised by Inuits. SO, we are the party of "diversity", and
therefore, we're right!"
(I use a subset of a subset of a subset of privileged groups, that is often
MEANT, when people appeal to the idea of the goodness of "diversity".
Try reading this example, without emotion, as a logical example of what
some people mean by "diversity.")
Of course, it was the MODERATE MIDDLE of American voters, who were
horrified by the RED PARTY'S CANDIDATE'S USE OF THE LANGUAGE OF
RACIAL SUPERIORITY, that Hitler and other fascists have used, historically.
The blue party could have appealed to the Moderate Middle of America, and
tried to win back the Evangelical vote, but instead, this party seemed to go
out of its way to insult moderate Americans.
Now, after-the-fact, the blue party seems to be realizing its error, and
some of them are more in tune with attracting the moderate middle of
American voters. It doesn't seem to help, that many moderate Americans
were saying this, when the campign for president was under way.
Political advisors in Washington, D.C. have got to get in touch with
real American voters.
