The irony of this is that Isaiah 66:22-24 describes a time when people will worship God from week to week and month to month...in other words, not JUST on the Sabbath or the new moon, in response to regulation, but all the time, in love and devotion.

Irony here being that this gentleman seems to think that worshipping on a given day shows devotion, when in fact true devotion knows no such limits.

" Will the whole world keep the sabbbath when Christ returns? " Isaiah 66:22-24
Uhmm where does it say that? :scratch:
Isa. 66: 22-24 said:
22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

God 'hallowed' the seventh day at creation. No more was said of it until he charged Israel with the law from Mt. Sinai, to be kept throughout their generations (as long as they were a nation. No one is sure who they are now, the Jews excepted, of course). The ordinances regarding how to observe the sabbath died along with the Levitical priesthood. That leaves the sabbath still holy to God but with no commanded ordinances attached to it. Jesus did his usual work on that day, but still recognized that it was holy. We can remember that it is holy, but we cannot make it or ourselves holy by any ritual observance done on the day.

We keep the sabbath holy by remembering that it is holy, and that belief in its hallowedness is still a sign between God and his people.

You can go to church on Sunday, or any other day, for fellowship and instruction (Paul taught on Sunday), remembering that it is the seventh day that is holy to God.

Another thing about the seventh day is that it is peculiar in the scheme of time and the calender, just like Gods people are peculiar.

" Individuals can teach, pray, and worship everyday but what day must every individual Christian keep holy as a holy day? " Acts 13:42

How do you get the above from this?

" If you have knowledge of the truth about the commandments, will you still be welcomed in heaven, or does grace get you in? "
Matthew 5

19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Deuteronomy 8:2
And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Matthew 18:4
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Since all flesh must keep the sabbath and Heaven is holy, if we as a Christian don't keep what is holy now, how will you keep it holy in heaven? "

Isaiah 66

22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

2 Peter 3:13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

I do realize, mysheep. you are trying to say something by stringing together these un-related scriptures but I have to be honest here, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. :sorry:

Here's how you keep a Sabbath:
Ex. 20: 10;
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
...so no work by ANYONE in your house

Lev. 23: 3;
3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

...can't carry anything...
Jer. 17:21-22
21 Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem; 22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

...and if you DO:

Numbers 15:32-36
32And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. 33And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.

...this would seem to preclude making food that had to be cooked or heating your house or running an internal combustion engine:
Ex. 35:3
3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

...you can't go to Church:
Ex. 16:29
29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

...nor buy or sell anything
Neh. 10:31;
31 And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
Neh. 13:15,19
15 In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.
19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.
...that's what keeping the Sabbath means. Do you do all that? :scratch:
