This classic leg-pull has now been circulating via email, blogs and forums for several years and has even been published by some news outlets as factual. In fact, the "giant skeleton" images that travel with these messages are not photographs depicting real discoveries but instead clever manipulations. A lot of recipients would be quick to doubt the authenticity of the images. However, submissions indicate that the high quality of the fake images coupled with the vaguely plausible explanations that accompany them are apparently enough to convince many recipients that the "discoveries" are genuine.

Recent gas exploration activity in the south east region of the Arabian desert uncovered a skeletal remains of a human of phenomenal size. This region of the Arabian desert is called the Empty Quarter, or in Arabic, 'Rab-Ul-Khalee'. The discovery was made by the Aramco Exploration team. As God states in the Quran that He had created people of phenomenal size the like of which He has not created since. These were the people of Aad where Prophet Hud was sent. They were very tall, big, and very powerful, such that they could put their arms around a tree trunk and uproot it. Later these people, who were given all the power, turned against God and the Prophet and transgressed beyond all boundaries set by God. As a result they were destroyed.

seems to be tons of websites arguing for and against the possibility that the large bones are a hoax..... guess it depends on who you want to believe...

I got up to 215 after college, but two years ago starting eating better, stopped rinking (mostly), and started exercising and dropped down to 165 after a year

currently I am trying to build muscle, I have had a hard time increasing the ammount I can do a dumbell press (55 lbs dumbells), but everything else has gone up a lot (squats went up real fast, but I haven't done them since last fall)

Depending on nutrition, the average height could have been under 5'6 back in biblical times (compared to the US height of 5'9). There is a proven correlation between height and nutrition, btw (and the US, which use to be tall compared to europe, is now smaller then some european countries). For someone 5'6, someone who is 6'6 or 6'10 would be a giant. And this is entirely possible within current scientific understanding.

I am not saying that there couldnt' have been 10' giants back in biblical times. I Am saying that that isn't within our current understanding of humanity and there is no need for 10' humans for 'giants' to exist.

1.5 X 6 = 9 feet.

Considering a span is the width of a hand at 9 feet Goliath could easily been 9' 8" or taller. Glad I didn't have to feed him!

1 Egyptian cubit is 1.5 ft.

1 Royal (Egyptian) cubit is 1.7 ft.

1 Hebrew cubit is 1.8 ft.

So he could be over 10 ft tall. Still not quite grasshopper-like when comparing normal 6' +/- man to him.
