How should we respond?

"I ask for support and I get judgment." Please note the smiley behind my comment, it was not intended to offend, but offer a humorous twist to your statement.

You are correct in Christ's teachings, but forgetting that we follow the Bible as a whole, which also includes the Old Testament. There are many places where the Lord instructs his followers to take up arms against those who oppose the Lord.

I personally try to follow Christ's teachings in my daily life as an example of how one should act. With compassion, slow to anger, quick to forgive.

Yet there are people in this world who would gladly shoot a Christain in cold blood, and do not care if you feel compassion for their soul. I think the Old Testament speaks in these examples, that there are some who the Lord gives us the authority and power to wage battle against in His name. Again, like I mentioned before, it is important to bring this before the Lord before committing to any action.

Some, such as yourself, may never feel comfortable taking a life. Me, I would never feel comfortable sitting around allowing someone to ruthlessly end the lives of others.

Cheers and God Bless!

So the Lord has told George W to attack Iraq? When? Why wasn't that on the news?

No, I would not feel comfortable sitting around allowing someone to ruthlessly end the lives of others. That's what I'm getting at. We are planning an unprovoked attack on a whole nation of people. That is a ruthless taking of lives, in my opinion. I'm looking for ways to prevent that, and wondering why no one else seems to see that Iraqis are people, too.

I don't recall that being in my commentary, or insinuated either. You probably should have posed your question differently in your original post for this thread, as you obviously do not wish to discuss opposing points of view. Therefore I will refrain from further comment.

Cheers and God Bless!

Dear All,
No war in Jesus' Name.
It is a sin to take a human life, let's be 100% pro-life: no war, no abortion and no executions.

Peace in Jesus,

Okay then, so isn't it a sin to sit by and watch innocent Iraqi citizens be tortured and killed by their own government? That can't be 100% pro-life now can it? So which is it? Watch innocent people die? Or, fight for them?

I know this is an old thread, but since you bumped it up I might as well reply.

As for lambslove, you asked for advise, people gave it to you, you didn't agree so you accuse them of attacking you?
